Great watch and a great value
I’ve tried a couple different smartwatches and like this one. Good quality and a good price. I’ve been able to get 12 days between charges by not using a lot of health/fitness options and recharging when it drops below 30%. PROS: Both Android and iPhone users can use this watch Watch is lightweight Easy to change watch band (I use a Velcro-style fabric band) Easy to read with adjustable font size Excellent color screen Easy to change watch faces you have downloaded from their App Store Decent sound quality (as caretaker I use it to check my Mom’s timers with Alexa) Can opt to connect with Alexa Lot of health and fitness options (I just use sleep and step tracking) Can add apps (from their store only - some free and others under $3) Has Widgets (under Device Settings then scroll down to Widgets which includes the Health and Fitness options) Shortcut Cards allow you to access apps AND widgets Has quick access to the Control Center You can hide and reorder any of the apps and widgets Most of the setup and settings are done through the phone app CONS: Limited App Store (okay for me but others may be disappointed) Almost impossible to turn off Progress and Stand Up reminders (they need to make this easier to turn off) Lack of instructions and phone app has so many options you may want to check a couple YouTube reviews for tips. Can be a bit confusing at first because it can do so much. TIPS: From main screen on: Apps - tap button again to scroll through and access Widgets - swipe from right to left to access, but once you go past your last widget it will show the Shortcuts Shortcuts - swipe from left to right to access Control Center - swipe down to access (battery level, etc.) Notifications - swipe up to access for text messages, etc. (and Activity Progress Reminder) NOTE - some shortcuts and widgets will display more information when tapped (weather, sleep, calendar)

Very Good Watch for the price
First off I am not a bot. This is a real review by just a regular normal guy. This is a really good watch for the money. It has all the features of a high end smartwatch but without the high cost. It looks nice while wearing it. I thought the face would be really big, but its actually a perfect size for my wrist. It lets you answer phone calls and read text. You cannot reply to text only read because you have no keyboard, but that's ok for me at least you can read them. You can change it up and customize it anyway you would like through the Zepp app. There are a lot of free apps and custom watch faces on the app that you can download for free. The health features are all great ,Heart rate , o2 stats and the exercise apps are all really good and keep track of multiple types of exercise like walking, running, and bike riding. All the health functions sync really well with my I-Phone. The sleep app is really nice .You can keep track of your sleeping habits. It lets you see how long and how well you slept through out the night. The charger charges the phone quickly and you can use it for 8-10 days depending on what apps you are running in the background. You have to download the Zepp app to use the watch but its really not that hard and the app is very good. Its really easy to set up with the set up QR code. It comes packaged in a nice box with the charger and the user manual. The charger works very nice but the cord is a little short Its magnetic and it will only connect it the correct way every time. I have an apple phone and it syncs very easily to it with no issue and the Zepp app is in the apple App store. There is an Alexa link up on there so you can use your Alexa but I am not an Alexa guy so I don't really use it ,but who knows I might in the future at least its there. All in all I say this is a great watch with a lot of very useful apps and functions. If you want a budget watch with all the high end function of an expensive watch this is for you. I really enjoy the functionality and the ease of use. 5 stars all the way. Signed-- Just A Normal Guy.

So far I'm impressed.
I had a Wear OS watch that died and wanted to replace it but that wasn't in my budget. I tried several smartwatches with my Samsung phone running Android 13 with mostly bad results; none of them did everything they claimed. Very frustrating. I wanted a circular style yet I kept looking at the BIP 5. Honestly, the only seller I found that would answer my questions honestly was Amazfit. So I gave it a chance. Glad I did. I've developed Android apps so I'm familiar with the "inner workings" as well as being a retired firmware engineer and one of the things that ticks me off is the fact that many Chinese watches aren't properly designed. For example, Notifications in Android are visible to all apps loaded by the OS design; Android flags them by which app generated it. Many of the watches just read some specific Notifications that they have designed their code to use and ignore others. This means, for example, if you are using Samsung Email instead of Gmail and the watch only accepts Gmail then you will never get email Notifications. This is a major problem because I couldn't find any watches that worked with everything and I found NONE that worked with a Calendar app...until this one. Based on descriptions and questions I asked, evidently to the Chinese "Calendar" means it will display date and time. Amazfit's Zepp app is designed to take better advantage of Android's features. In particular it seeks out all apps on your device and allows you to select whether you want Notifications from specific apps. To that purpose it uses Android's generic functions so when you look at the list you find them all. Using a different email app than Gmail? No problem. Using a messaging app different than Google Messages? No problem. Using a Calendar? No problem. I exercise often yet I usually don't wear my watch when I do because I've been known to break them. I do like using some of the fitness features yet those are usually just monitoring steps and heart rate; I have an abnormally low heart rate so I was surprised to find just how accurate the Bip 5 is for that. I can't attest to the other fitness features. I wanted a watch that could run all day without needing charging; my former Wear OS couldn't do that on busy days but most of the time it would last a single day only. The Bip 5 with heart monitoring on every few minutes has use 9% of the battery in over 24 hours so I suspect 10 days is a good estimate; I will probably charge it once a week. I wanted SMS and MMS Notifications because most "group conversations" are MMS; none of the watches I tried or researched would do that yet Amazfit said theirs would...and it does! Note that if you get a "true" MMS it notifies you that it was received but not show the video/image but I don't care about that. I just wanted to know I got a message so this works great for both SMS/MMS. I want my Calendar events on my watch...and I get them! I want to see calls coming in on my watch with the ability to reject them...and I get that! I want to get email on my watch...and I get them! I want to have a quick response to emails on my watch; Wear OS allows you to type anything but I found myself only using "canned suggestions" 90% of the time and usually preferred using my phone except for OK, Yes, etc. The Bip 5 allows you to reply with canned responses that you can edit...so I can do that. Supposedly I can instigate a call on the Bip 5; I haven't found that and never used that on my old watch so I probably don't care if I find that setting. For grins, I answered a call using the Bip 5 and it worked well although I wear hearing aids so I probably won't make a habit of that unless it is really quiet but it does work. Basically, the Bip 5 does the 6 things I wanted: read texts, answer texts with canned replies, read group texts, get events from my calendar, get my emails, and lasts more than a day. And it does so without drama. I honestly don't really care for the basic watch faces and didn't want to buy a custom one, especially since I wanted a round watch. To my surprise it comes with a "photo" watch face that you can customize with any pic you want that displays date/time over it and another optional message. I really like that so I uploaded a favorite pic. You can make multiple versions of faces, such as seasonal pics, and the app will keep them so it is easy to switch them. I only have two so far so I don't know if there is a limit to how many but it is nice to have. I read some negative comments about the Zepp app yet those were old comments. It seems well designed and easy to use. To be fair I wrote software/firmware for 35+ years, including a lot of User Interfaces so I'm better versed than most people when it comes to testing the limits of code yet honestly it looks and works pretty well. Better than a lot of other watch apps I tried.

Great watch - replaced my fitbit
This watch is bright, long battery life (if you set it up right) and measures well. The connection to the phone (I have an apple phone) for calls - I couldn't get going properly. It used battery life in hours not days. But texts, calendars and other app notifications is fine and I get 9-10 days of battery life. I am sure I am missing a step, but I prefer not to get calls on my watch anyway. Lots of good free screens and great paid ones, It does all I want - except connect to runkeeper - which is a bummer. But if that is the only downer I can live with it

Great health tracker and resilient battery!
Extremely resilient battery! Well over 15 days on standby and well over 10 when used, it is remarkably resilient powerful and easy to use. Does everything a fitbit does without having to pay for subscriptions / and more than what most older apple watches offer! Only 2 caveats I saw where its aloud reading of when you start / stop and pause a workout dont know if this is something that can be changed in the settings but for this reason I would not wear it to work but not a biggie. Last thing is after a few months I noticed after sweat got in the watch (i guess water would have the same effect), some of the numbers in the watch would slightly fade but after the watch was dried up this problem went away. Anyay everything else was beyond expectation for the price paid! will definitely buy again if needed.

Works perfectly, user friendly, expensive looking
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently purchased the Amazfit Smart Watch, and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. This smartwatch has exceeded my expectations in every way, making it deserving of a solid 5-star review! First and foremost, the user-friendly interface of the Amazfit Smart Watch is a game-changer. Setting it up was a breeze, and I was navigating through its features within minutes. The touchscreen is responsive, and the menu layout is intuitive, making it accessible to both tech-savvy users and those new to smartwatches. One of the key features that I love is its ability to track steps and sleep. The step-tracking is incredibly accurate, and it has motivated me to stay active and reach my daily goals. It's a fantastic tool for keeping an eye on your daily activity levels, and I've found it to be very motivating. The sleep tracking is another highlight for me. It provides detailed insights into my sleep patterns, helping me understand the quality of my rest. This has been invaluable for improving my sleep habits and overall well-being. The exercise functions on this smartwatch are impressive. Whether you're running, cycling, or engaging in other forms of physical activity, it accurately tracks your progress. The heart rate monitor is a fantastic addition, ensuring you can exercise safely and efficiently. It has truly become my workout companion. The icing on the cake is the beautiful interface. The watch faces are customizable, allowing me to choose a style that suits my mood or outfit. The high-resolution display is sharp, and the watch looks stylish and sleek on my wrist. In addition to these features, the long battery life and water-resistant design make this smartwatch incredibly versatile. I don't have to worry about constantly charging it, and it can withstand my active lifestyle. In conclusion, the Amazfit Smart Watch is a fantastic piece of technology that checks all the boxes. It's user-friendly, tracks steps and sleep with precision, excels in exercise tracking, and boasts a sleek and customizable interface. I highly recommend this smartwatch to anyone looking to enhance their daily life and fitness journey. It has truly made a positive impact on my daily routine. Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very Nice Watch But Stand/Progress Reminders Cannot Be Turned Off
No doubt its a very good smart watch for its price. * The face is indeed curved but not the backside that touches the skin. * The glass is scratch-free after 6 months of usage. Have brushed it against walls, doors, and tables countless of times. * Battery lasts long depending on usage, 15 days in my case. I take the watch off at bedtime with the ‘do-not-disturb’ enabled. * A lot of watch faces to choose from, free and paid. * Replaced the strap with a stretchy easy-to-wear fabric type (3-pack on Amazon). * You can make and take phone calls: clear reception on both ends. * There's no ability to reply to received messages which is just fine. * Weather info updates only if the Zepp phone app is running despite having enabled it in Background Refresh. Not sure if Zepp or iOS 18.2.1 issue. * Zepp phone app must also be running for Alexa to work. * But what really annoys me is that despite turning off the related notifications, I keep receiving stand reminders even after an exercise. Also keep getting progress reminders before and after achieving my goal. The settings to disable them simply don't work! Loses a star.

Over all, a great watch, but could definitely be better. (for the BIP 5, not the BIP 3 pro)
Ok, so overall, this watch, like said, is pretty ok. I have been using it for a week now, and I think that it fits me practically perfectly, but maybe not for other people. I think that for the price, it really is probably the best smartwatch you could get under $100.As promised in the labeling, it does have a very large display, but it makes up for that large size in two ways. 1: instead of the regular two supporting little stubs on the side, the band is attached directly to the watch itself, and 2: the band is much smaller, and because of the 2.5 d curved screen, it really feels comfortable on your wrist. It also has great features that you would find on, an Apple watch, or other great smartwatches. The scrolling is great, and because it runs on Zepp OS, the UI, special features, and more are not just better, but there are also more. It has a 300 mAh battery, and depending on the usage, it can actually last even more than the predicted 10 days, and can, at least in my experience, even up to 20 days, much better than the Apple, or Galaxy watches that rule the smartwatch world. The built-in Alexa is pretty slick but like all other Amazfit watches, the functionality is not the best, but unlike other Amazfit watches, the Alexa speaks, and you can read it too, which is something that the older ones can't. Now about the flaws, I'm going to be comparing this watch to the Amazfit GTS series, specifically the GTS 2. One thing that I noticed right away when I was doing my research was that the watch is not waterproof. it is water resistant, but only ip 68 if I'm not wrong. This means that it can withstand rain and dust, but you can't wear it during showers, and definitely not in a pool. Another flaw is that even though the watch is mostly better than the GTS 2, the GTS 2 does have the ability to play music on the watch itself, but I feel like that is quite unnecessary because you can just play it on your phone, or if you really want to be able to play the songs of your dreams, let me warn you, the music quality isn't that good. This may be a minor thing, but it does find it annoying because unlike the GTS', the bip 5 doesn't have quick /shortcuts, like double crown click and hold crown. Other than that this watch is something that I'd wholeheartedly recommend this watch to you, but if you are a hard-core fitness trainer, this watch might not be the best for you. It's a smartwatch, not a fitness tracker. If you want a good fitness tracker, then I recommend the Fitbit versa's.
