Meowing Heads Complete Dry Cat Food 1.5kg - Paw Lickin' Chicken - Vet Approved

My cats love both flavours of this dry food. Their fur looks a lot sleeker and glossier since I've started feeding this brand. I like that all the ingredients are listed on the product page, so you can see exactly what is in it before you buy, and it's cheaper than some other high-meat dry cat food, like Applaws. My cats prefer this to Applaws, anyway, and vastly prefer it to Arden Grange. I feed mainly dry food, but add wet food a couple of times a week, and because they don't get it every day, my cats used to go mad for the wet food. Now they're not that bothered, and some even prefer the dry food to good quality wet cat food, which I've never seen before in my cats (I've got 5, and they all go mad for these, both flavours). Since I wrote this review, the price has been put up until this brand is now considerably more expensive than comparable ones, plus, they've now reduced the packet size to 1.5 kg (from 2), as well as putting the price up again, as far as I can see. I have been trying to find alternatives (also because this wasn't available for a while), and my cats definitely prefer this to any other high-meat/cereal free brand - they will barely eat anything else now, and just keep driving me mad for this. I am not sure why - suspect it's not the ingredients so much as the way they are processed. These are lighter in colour and seem less dense and hard than most comparable brands. It's great stuff, but the price is getting extortionate...

This is a very good quality food at a reasonable price. As cats are obligate carnivores, eg. They must eat meat to survive, I wanted a food with a high meat content for my beloved rescue cat, who will only eat dried food and nothing else. After a bit of searching I found this stuff which has only natural ingredients and a lot more meat than some of the better known and more expensive brands out there. My cat looks wonderful on this, her coat is glossy and soft and she is bright eyed and healthy, and she likes it. She does drink more water but as she will not eat tinned or the pouches of cat food this is the best choice.

I’ve tried so many dry foods over the years, but Meowing Heads Complete Dry Cat Food 4kg – Paw Lickin’ Chicken is the first one my cat genuinely gets excited about. From the moment I opened the bag, I noticed it smells fresher and less “processed” than other dry foods. The kibble size is perfect—easy for my cat to crunch without making a mess. Within a few days of switching, I saw a visible improvement in her coat—it looks shinier and feels softer. She’s also been full of energy and hasn’t had any tummy issues at all. What really sold me is that it’s vet approved and made with quality ingredients. I feel confident knowing she’s getting proper nutrition without unnecessary fillers. The 4kg bag is great value too—it lasts a good while and stays fresh if sealed properly. If you’ve got a fussy eater like I do, this one is definitely worth a try. Clean bowl every time and one very happy cat! 🐱💛 Would absolutely buy again.

So far my cats like this, but not being going mad as some reviewers state. Decent food and more health conscious for your kitty

Good value for money for a dry cat food with lots of protein

Ordered two packs as my cats love this, however the sticky wrap used to hold them together was horrendous to remove and damaged one of the packets.

Mi piace molto variare il mangime dei miei gatti , e spesso leggo recensioni riguardanti prodotti di provenienza straniera. "Meowing heads" parte molto bene già dalla confezione: carina e colorata, con un divertente messaggio da parte di un gattino sul perchè acquistare il prodotto. Il sacchetto in cui sono contenute le crocchette è robusto e quindi il prodotto si conserva bene. Le crocchette sono piccole, con un buon profumo e per nulla oleose. Feci perfette da parte dei miei tre consumatori; pelo morbido e compatto. Lo acquisterò di nuovo , provando anche altri gusti. Consigliatissimo!!

I am really pleased with the cat food. I think I have finally found food my cat will eat! She comes running for mealtime and always finishes her bowl which is a nice change from her turning her nose up at the dish I have served or just picking at it before walking off. It seems they uses a lot more fresh chicken than other brands and the inclusion of taurine, vitamins and minerals must be helping as I have noticed an improvement with her coat but that might just be because she is eating properly. Either way I am please and this is probably one of the best dry foods I’ve tried. Certainly more expensive than the likes of Felix and Whiskers but worth trying as at least I'm not wasting so much left over food now.
