The bone broth powder doesn’t taste of much, I suspect the liquid version is probably tastier. It’s great if you’re adding it to food as it won’t alter the flavour, but as a drink it lacks something, I have started adding a teaspoon of bovril to my 2 tablespoons of bone broth powder and it now tastes amazing! Much better than bovril on its own, if really brings out the flavour of the bone broth. I’ve only been using it less than a week so can’t speak on it’s long term effects but I’m hopeful! It’s packed with good stuff so can only be good right?!

Really happy I have discovered this product. I have been adding it to dishes I cook for evening meals and also adding it to the dogs' food! (one is old and does not eat his food, but he is wolfing down everything now with this powder sprinkled on). I think it does have a slight taste but is not strong, if I was cooking a risotto I would probably add a stock cube too, but this beef bone broth powder is a must for everything now, because I want the extra protein and collagen (as do my dogs!).

I'd give it zero if I could, the chicken flavour is fine. The beef is a different story it simple is not soluble, you could pour it in to lava and it wouldn't dissolve, would just sit on the top as scum. Never using this joke of a company again.

I really wanted to like this as the beef flavour is amazing! Unfortunately I didn't realise until it arrived that it's made from Turkey bones as well. It's just too much and too strong a turkey flavour for me... If it was only chicken it would be awesome. I now just use it in soups and stews but even then I need to be prepared for the turkey flavor and balance it with wine and other spices etc - depending on the recipe. Will keep buying the beef flavour though, that one is so nice (and not over-powering) just to drink like a hot cup of tea! If you like Turkey flavour, go ahead and try it though. It's definitely good quality ☺️

It tasted of nothing on it's own when just mixed with water. But added some magic to the soup because everyone asked for seconds but couldn't put their finger on, why! I cooked my usual chicken soup with potatoes, carrots, parsnip, yellow pepper, courgette and chopped tomatoes with birds eye chillies, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and juice if whole lemon which is nice. I like it quite watery, how we eat it in Europe, not all blended and thick like in UK. But my British children aren't too keen. But with two table spoons of this bone broth mixed with water first, it had just made the whole thing unbelievably tasty. Like addictive! I've had to cook the same thing again today because a very large pot was all eaten last night. And my boys are not big soup eaters. I think this would be a genius way to get kids eat more veg and soup.

Having loved Honest + Good's Beef Marrowbone broth powder, I bought this Freja Bone Broth expecting it to be similar. Its not at all. Perhaps this is my fault for not reading the description properly which does actually state it makes a tasteless hot drink - indeed it does, and with a poor mix and lumps floating on the top. The ingredients and nutritional content are bang on but if you're looking for a nice hot drink to savour, then don't buy this, this is only good for adding to stuff. Maybe in a shake or smoothie is best, or into stews or whatever. However if you do want a lovely hot-drink to savour, buy the Honest+Good one, its so good I've got a monthly subscription now. I often (in the morning) will add a knob of salted butter and its a beautiful drink thing. Thank me later!! UPDATE: I've discovered that adding 10g to mince is a total winner so I've added another star now. Still not a good hot drink though!!
