Great value and great sound quality too
I wanted something to serve as amplification for my TV without having to resort to the bulkiness of a traditional A/V receiver and loads of speakers, that could also serve as amplification for other sources (like streaming from my phone or maybe for connecting a turntable to, for example). There isn't much at a reasonable price that can be HDMI ARC-connected unless you like sound bars, & while they have their place I wanted .... well, more. Then I found this, the Arylic B50. It arrives in a smart little box which contains all you need to get it up & running, plus there's a very handy phone app that seems to work very well too. It has so far connected to everything I've asked it too without a single glitch or problem, and it works spot-on via HDMI from my TV which turns this amp on from standby as it should every time without fail. Used as TV amplification alone it is really very good indeed and provides far better stereo separation than the mid-range sound bar I was using before. There's a subwoofer out port on this amp if that's your thing but in all honesty with the speakers I'm using it has plenty bass as it is for my needs. I've streamed FLAC music to this too and I have to say that you need better ears than mine to tell any difference in sound quality between this and the £1k+ worth of kit that I use in another room with the same speakers. It's not perfect though, & no reasonable person would expect that from a little amp at this sort of budget. The toggle switch for on & off is a matter of personal taste that I don't much care for as one example. Getting to grips with Bluetooth receive & transmit on this can be fun too, although at least (so far) it reconnects to things you've connected to before without problems. On a positive note though there's also an Arylic form which seems to be reasonably well populated with users offering advice and their experiences, which could be helpful. Firmware updates for this amp seem regular too; this one arrived with firmware V50 installed & there's apparently a V59 available, but since this is working just fine I might leave it as it is. For a while at least. It's early days for me and this Arylic B50, but so far this has done everything I have asked of it and it's done it all very well at that. Oh, and it goes plenty loud enough for the average UK-sized room too.

Poor support - but good when you get it working
Good solution to upgrade your TV sound to full Stereo HiFi. I bought this specifically to allow me to use my existing Mission loudspeakers with my LG OLED TV using HDMI ARC so that everything (including volume) can operate from the TV remote. I had an initial problem with intermittent audio drops which I managed to fix by swapping my 2 mtr HDMI cable for a 1 mtr cable. The device is on a very old version of Firmware (v50 vs current v57). I initially tried upgrading the firmware to address the problem but the specified firmware upgrade process did not work. Support in sorting this out was very poor and I was on the point of returning it when I figured out I needed to use a USB of 16GB or less formatted to FAT32 to do the firmware upgrade. It is compact, has a wide range of modes, works ideally to hook my mission floor standing speakers to my LG TV and use the TV remote to control volume (via HDMI ARC). Also, handy for playing music over Bluetooth from my phone. The quality is not quite as good as my NAD, but compensates with its ease of use, and obviously costs a lot less. I supplemented it with a Soulpeak Amplifier Switch ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B093GSS8P7 ) to allow me to quickly switch between the Arylic and my NAD Amplifier if I want top-notch sound.

Very impressed!
I had a few certain requirements when looking for a new amp for my living room TV setup (Samsung frame 2021) with two ceiling speakers... I wanted - single remote experience - HDMI ARC connectivity - small form factor (needs to fit in a small cupboard as we didn't want anything on show) The first two requirements are really easy to find, even with fairly old AV Receivers, but they are always huge! The Arylic B50 was the smallest amp I could find that ticked the three boxes, and it has a load of extra features too such as Bluetooth RX and TX, external DAC support, and more. Setup was very easy, just plugged it all in and it worked straight away. I connected the app via BT so that I could tweak the EQ and bass levels to suit my speakers. I had been a bit worried, because some reviews when the B50 first came out said that the ARC integration was problematic. I found a firmware online that claimed to fix the issues, but it turns out the unit that I got from Amazon had already been updated with the latest firmware and the integration has been perfect for me. The quality and loudness of the audio is great in my opinion. Overall very happy.

Better than a Soundbar
I decided on this little amp because of its ARC hdmi feature. There have been some mixed reviews about it in the last 12 months, mainly arising out of it needing software updates to resolve bugs. I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever, and can only assume these bugs have been sorted out before my model shipped. The ARC link up to my LG OLED TV has been trouble free. The amp switches on and off in tandem with the TV and it's volume-controlled by the TV's remote. There is a phone app too which provides EQ variations and bass/volume control, although once set up as you need there is not much need to fiddle further. Overall I'm pretty happy with it. It sounds better than the SMSL amp it replaces (less tinny and better volume) and has much better stereo separation with my passive speakers than a Soundbar, I haven't a need for the Bluetooth option, but I tried it out and it streamed music from my phone to excellent effect. For the price I'd recommend it highly because finding ARC hdmi in a 2.1 amplifier is rare indeed. And this works too.

The ARC control lets you adjust the volume over the TV remote. I have connected the SW out with an active subwoofer. Overall very satisfied with this set up. I can listen to classical music over Bluetooth and switch over to TV without issues.
