Bought to monitor the speed of my old Myford lathe. Easy to wire up but ideally needs to be built into a box to protect the electronics and connections.You also need an external low voltage main’s adapter to power it, and it’ll work with any 8-15v DC supply ( I used a spare 12v one )The transmitter unit has a decent amount of thread on it to adjust the distance to the magnet which is fixed to the moving part.

Excellant product i fitted to my Sieg SC2 lathe no problem atall.I used a multi volt charger for power and stripped it down to fit inside control box . Took live feed from inside controll box.all very neat.Before fitting magnet pernament its got to be round right way.Saved me the cost of £179 for plug in Sieg one

Sadly the item didn't work when set up on contacting supplier a different wiring was given but this failed to work also,I returned theitem and received moneys back.

Great value for the money, fast stop confuses it for a few seconds, as it reports last RPM if the magnet doesn’t come around as expected, but thats to be expected and only for about ten seconds…
