I was struggling to cut slices of our crusty homemade bread with an old serrated bread knife. This new Victorinix knife is so sharp and easy to use! The slices cut through the crust without damaging the top if the loaf. Any variations in the slices are down to my skill or lack thereof. The knife is great. Be very careful when cleaning it, it will cut anything rubbed along the blade.

I was just wanting to upgrade my kitchen knife set with something of a better quality, which would keep a good edge and sharpen well. I was prepared to pay well for something decent. But this make got really good reviews and weren't too expensive, so I took a chance. Very glad I did, as this is everything I wanted AND at a very fair price. Feels good in the hand, has a good weight and cuts bread like the proverbial hot knife through butter! Haven't had the need to sharpen since I got it but I'd be surprised if it doesn't take a good edge. A really good bread knife!
