I was surprised at the great quality for the price I paid! This wooden catio is the perfect size if you’re looking for something functional without being too over the top. It fits beautifully in our yard and provides just enough space for our cats to safely enjoy the outdoors. Our cats especially love the little hide hole—it’s become their favorite lounging spot. The double lock on the door gives us extra peace of mind, and the roof is a huge plus—it’s made of actual roofing material, not flimsy plastic or fabric, so it holds up well in different weather conditions. Assembly was pretty straightforward. My husband was able to put it together without any issues, though keep in mind it doesn’t come with tools, so you’ll need your own basic set (drill optional). We added a few personal touches like a hanging cat hammock, toys, and plan to staple chicken wire to the bottom to prevent coyotes or other critters from digging underneath. With a few simple additions, it’s become a safe and enriching space that our cats absolutely love. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to give their cats some fresh air without compromising on safety or space. It could make a great outdoor exclosure for large reptiles to enjoy, too!

Love this catio! Took me about 6 hours to build alone. Instructions were easy to follow. I built structure first, then added the platforms/cat house, so changed instructions/assembly a bit. Very nice to have if your kitty likes to go outside- peace of mind!

Very nice kit! All pieces were there, and the instructions are via schematic—no text, fyi. The wood feels like light balsa. It took me and a friend (who’s an experienced builder) three hours to assemble. I sanded all the rough edges easily, since the wood is soft. Be aware that the wood is fairly delicate, so work slowly and carefully. The holes are not all pre-drilled. I do not find the catio to be flimsy, though I saw others said it was. Just be careful to line up the joints, and hand-screw in tightly after using a slow electric screwdriver. Double- and triple-check those schematics to be sure nothing is reversed.

Easy assembly. I put mine on top of a picnic table for easier access. As he grew I took out small shelves and out in a long one. Also I cut a small hole in wire to run in power cord to heating pad.

This thing is good quality and perfect for your cats to enjoy some fresh air. Depending on the size of your cat the shelves might be a little small but if you double them up length wise they could easily stretch out on them. I bought this for a stray kitten that ended up in my possession and she absolutely loves it. She sleeps in the box or climbs to the top and cools off on the gravel like roof. There were no missing parts like some other reviewers mentioned and it didn’t have any weird smell or anything. It did take 3-4 hours to assemble but with two people you could put it together a lot quicker. The wooden aspect of it looks great and seems to be holding up despite all the moisture I have in my area. I can easily move it to sweep and clean it out as well. Cat seems very comfortable and happy when she’s in there and even hangs out in it when I leave the door open for her. I also grabbed a couple kitty hammocks to put in there for her and had no problem installing them onto the mesh wire. I will probably reinstall them with hooks once she gets bigger but it adds an extra place for her to sleep right now. She loves her hammocks.

When the wood got wet, the shelves all separated and the wood began to warp. It would be nice on a porch, but it’s definitely not going to last if it’s in any kind of weather regularly.

We bought this catio to keep our outdoor cats safe from tomcats (they don't like kittens much and will harm them!) It has handled 3 adult cats and 2 kittens very well for almost 6 months now. The lock has held up - we put them in there at night and so its opened and closed alot and both locks have held up to being opened and closed several times a day. So far it has kept our cats safe from other animals, its easy to clean! We just pull it out, spray with water hose or blow off the ground with the leaf blower. It fits kitty litter, food and water bowls and this winter we put a large tote in there with a bed for extra warmth for the cats. They love it and we love knowing they are safe!

This is a great catio for the price. It's a little smaller than I thought, but that's my fault for not paying attention to the dimensions. I did put some bricks around it to help steady it, but that was for my own peace of mind. My two cats tend to chase each other in and out of it and I noticed it shook a little when they got a little crazy. All-in-all, it's a great catio for the price and my cats love it!
