Rockport Men's Rocstride Walking Shoe-

I have worn them for a few days. here are the pros and cons:Pros:1. style: they are elegant, but low key at same time. I have the navy ones and really like the color. actually it's not true navy, rather deep grey, my preferred color anyway. they deserves top notch rating for the design.2. light weight: feels like feather. to me this is one of the most important criteria when I look for new shoes.3. material and quality are quite good. time will tell how durable they will be.Cons:1. there is minimal to none arch support. I am a little disappointed. remember, they are not serious walking shoes. rather a fashion sneaker or casual shoe. they are good for short city walk, international travel, cruise, and etc.2. not much insulation: my feet are cold when temp is below 50 degrees, so they are definitely not good winter shoes. I am not sure this is caused by the material used or purely due to my personal reasons. on the other hand, it's an excellent choice for summer activity.3. they run a little large. you need at least 1/2 size smaller than your normal size. especially, whey you have them for warm weather, you may want to consider 1 full size smaller, for casual occasions without socks.

These shoes fit me according to their listed specifications. I have wide feet, so it is somewhat of a challenge to find shoes that fit me. For me, some shoes that are rated EE are too narrow and sometimes shoes rated EEE are too wide, but these seem to be right on the mark. The shoes are also comfortable for me. As for color, I eventually purchased shoes in all 3 color options. The "Castlerock's" gray areas are slightly darker than the photograph, and the orange areas are more subdued than in the photo. There is no blue in the Navy Blue - it is a very dark grey with darker grey panaels, and the green highlights are much more subdued than in the photo. I can't recall offhand what the tan-colored shoes are called, but their color is close to what is shown in the photos. One of the tan-colored shoes did arrive with a discoloration which cannot be cleaned off, but it is in an inconspicuous place, so I didn't send those shoes back.

The one thing about this show is it requires a breaking in period. I wore these shoes for the first time at the end of the day where the feet are at their largest. For those that are expecting a cushy shoe, this will slightly disappoint, but in terms of walking, about a mile or so the shoe comes into its own and begins fitting around your foot well. There is an insert with small holes either for water drainage or breathing.I deducted a star because like many, it's not navy. It's a gray-blue. The neon green tho is exactly as pictured. The cost tho was excellent and of good value.

Over the past two weeks, I've tried 3 different walkers...2 of them ordered from another company. This pair is the best, by far. First pair had no lateral support, the second arrived defective. So, I'm very happy with these, and am particularly happy with the service I realized from Amazon. Couldn't be a happier camper.Oh oh...please see my follow up comment on these shoes.

I do like the shoe. It looks nice and by the heel it fits as it should. I typically order an "E" which usually ends up just fine or a little loose (which i like) but bought a "2E" based on reviews. But, alas! Although the heel area feels fine, it tapers toward the fronts and are quite tight by the toes. I'm thinking of getting a 3E but there's only a non-Amazon seller here selling it for 2x as much. :(

My husband did like this shoe but it was just not wide enough, We are never sure what size to get for him. So we sent the shoes back and bought another Rockport shoe (this time a little bit wider) Thanks Amazon for exchanging so nicely.

I like Rockport shoes for their durability and support. These shoes fit the bill. I wear about a size 12.5 M but since most manufacturers don't make 12.5 I usually go with the size 13. I would rather not feel my toes against the end of the shoe. These fit perfectly. No break in was required. My other Rockport shoes are the World Tour which I wear to work. These are more casual and great for weekend wear in and outside the home.

The size is fine, the look is fine, the quality seems fine, in fact they look exactly what I'd hoped for. But, they seem rather flimsy, not cheap, but, I expected more of a substantive shoe. More padding, a thicker shoe, and the area below the foot seems unsupported. They are ok, but I guess I expected more.
