Dark Grey Uber Goop dishwasher rack repair (bottle only) half oz

I have a Bosch dishwasher with both light and dark tines. This was a perfect match for the dark tines. The Goop was very easy to work with. I cleaned off the rust with a steel wool pad, rinsed and wiped it off well then let it dry. Afterward, I painted on the Goop. It was like working with a thickish fingernail polish. It dried very quickly and blended in. You have to make a point of looking to see where I used it. (I've attached a photo. Two repaired spots are in the photo.) It took very little of the product to do the touch ups. I'm planning to order the light colored Goop to see if it matches the light tines. Hopefully it is as good a match as the dark was. Given the variation in the colors of dishwasher racks, I really think they should sell this product as a 2-pack of light and dark and include a little mixing tray with a separate brush so you can make a custom color if needed. So far I'm very happy with this. I haven't used my dishwasher enough since making the repairs to comment on durability. (By the way, the repairs were to the tip of the third tine up from the bottom on the right in the photo and, on that same side, on the right side of the bar that holds all of the tines, between the 4th and 5th tines up from the bottom. Did you find them?)

It worked well to cover rusty spots on the dishwasher rack. It did chip away a little bit after about 6 months and I couldn't reapply because it dried out. I think you need to use it all in one application. Otherwise, it's a much cheaper fix than replacing the whole rack.

I had rust spots on my silverware. Found out that it's from a rusty spot on my washer drawers. I was able to clip the rusty section off altogether and then sealed the cut with Goop. Washer has been back in business spitting out sparkly dishes!

Worked well to repair rusted tines in my Bosch dishwasher. I have light gray nylon racks, but the tines are all coated metal. The color matched perfectly. We will wait and see how durable it is, but happy that the rusty spots are gone. I filed the bad spots with a metal file, cut off the excess coating with nail clippers, wiped with isopropyl alcohol. Applied several layers, let cure overnight. I did more of a dabbing motion rather than brushing, and did not have a problem with the brush drying out.

Does the trick in a pinch. I will still have to replace my racks eventually

Product worked exactly as described. Believe the seller stating Dark Grey color is dark (like a deep charcoal color). It almost appears black against our dishwasher's grey coloring. There is a lighter grey that might have been a closer match for my appliance, but decided to just use and keep this bottle. Product is easy to use, dries quickly, and coverage is complete when directions are followed. Multiple thin coats work better than trying to glob it on the areas to be treated. (Remember to also 'paint' the underside of the area you are fixing, especially if it's a joint connection.) Very satisfied and would recommend.

I noticed a rust spot on dishwasher rack and it always ends up worse than you thought! This was such an easy fix: scrape what you can, sand, wipe with rubbing alcohol, and apply. It’s like nail polish but work FAST! I did about a 2” strip but you literally have time for about 1-2 brush strokes before the brush stiffens and you need to dip again. And use your finger to cover the jar in between (wear gloves or plastic wrap your finger). Dry time is an hour and you need two coats so waiting is the hardest part. The repair looks good so here’s hoping it lasts!
