This is now my favorite paring knife! I use it for many jobs. It is very sharp, and is easy to keep sharp with occasional touchups. Very handy, good feel, just right for those quick but delicate jobs. And the price is right! In addition to use in the kitchen around food, it also makes a great letter opener! Feels like it will last a very long time with minimal care. Very pleased, and highly recommended!

Great paring knife! Definitely recommend. The handle provides a really good grip even with wet or slippery hands. Very sharp out of the box. Great price point.

Frustratingly, this is a better paring knife than the others I have that are more aesthetically pleasing / traditional (Sa**tier, which is Wus**f looking). So much so that I have two now, and after several years, I only use the others when I haven't had time to clean the Cold Steel. They make some goofy stuff, which affects my perception of them, until I use these little paring knives again *daily*. A steal for the performance.

The rubberized hand grip of cold steel is very nice. It’s been around for a long time and it’s durable and grippy. I think the actual knives the metal part of cold steel has succumbed to a price point problem. They used to be a premium expensive knife, but there’s a limited market for that these days it seems. so it works, it’s a knife nothing really outstanding

It’s Cold Steel... not much to add to that. I own a few knives, not an avid collector but I like them and I use my knives, the dozen or so I own are high quality (Tops, Kabar, Western) and I wear and use them daily. Cold steel products have proven to be outstanding value for the money. Razor sharp. It’s a lifetime knife as far as I can tell. I put 4 stars for ergonomic because it is a kitchen knife and I carry a Tops most days, it’s not bulky or weird feeling but it’s a kitchen knife so it’s fine. The only real con is that it says it is not dishwasher safe... I don’t really see any reason for that but I haven’t tested the theory either.

Solidly built, works well, good value. Blade is slightly thicker than other paring knives I've used, doesn't move through some things quite as easily as I'd like.

This is my first Cold Steel purchase but, every time I search for quality knives for everyday carry (EDC) or more defined purposes, the brand pops up in the list of best-reviewed. No surprise, given a reputation for design attributes and durable sharpness,often when reviewing an everyday carry, hunting, or tactical application. Take those attributes and apply them to your kitchen: this is a purpose-designed blade for smaller but "mission critical" tasks in the kitchen. Call me obsessive but I have paring knives from Germany's Henckel and Wusthof, Canada's Grohmann, and Australia's Furi. This is my new favourite and it's a pleasure to use. I love the soft, textured grip, the out-of-package sharpness, and the unique (for a paring knife) wider blade profile. Sharpens easily but you only need to sharpen once in a long time. This purchase has moved me to look seriously at other Cold Steel designes.

Wir kennen Cold Steel schon lange von den Videos auf Youtube, als wir nun neue Küchenmesser brauchten fiel die Wahl nicht schwer, vorallem da sich der Preis auch voll in unserem Rahmen befindet! Das Messer kam schnell und sicher verpackt im Plastik Blister zu uns! Es löst unser 1€ Messer aus dem Mäc Geiz ab und wir sind wirklich begeistert! Kein Vergleich! Super scharf ohne Nachschleifen und der gummierte Griff liegt ganz wunderbar in der Hand. Gut wir sind nun wirklich keine Messerprofis, nur Verwender, aber für unser Laienverständnis ist dieses Messer eindeutig scharf! :D Können das Messer nur empfehlen! Typisch Cold Steel! Hohe Qualität zu humanen Preisen! Kein unnötig teures und edles Material aber dafür durch und durch funktional! Das war uns bei Küchenmessern wichtiger als die edle Optik. Diese Rezension wird natürlich aktualisiert falls dies nötig sein sollte! Bis dahin Kaufempfehlung! :)

Positiv - aus der Verpackung sehr scharf - Griff ist sehr ergonomisch, und liegt gut in der Hand - Waschmaschinengeeignet - 4116 Klingenstahl (vergleichbar zu X50CrMoV15) Negativ - klinge etwas dünn - für 18 Eur etwas teuer Und nein, es ist kein "Outdoormesser" wie in der Produktbezeichnung steht, ein ganz normaler kleiner Küchenmesser

Came sharp enough to shave with. The handle feels good even when wet.
