Honeybee Gardens Effortless Eyeliner Pencil in Belgian Chocolate, Rich Pigmentation, Smooth, Long-Wearing, Vegan, Gluten-Free

I bought this liner in green and metallic gunmetal gray. They’re both beautiful! The green on my inner water line enhanced my hazel eyes so well and didn’t cause excessive irritation. It’s more subtle than dark brown or black. I’ll wear it the most, from now on to bring out the green in my eyes. The gunmetal gray is so gorgeous. I love the way these liners go on so smoothly and with no skin irritation. I specifically chose these because they are in real wood, so the liner won’t separate from the plastic fake wood, rendering the liner unable to be sharpened. I’m so done with liners that aren’t in real wood. I was very impressed by the European standards this eye liner meets, which are far more stringent than American standards. That’s important to me and I could really feel the difference on my water line. The quality is excellent and the shades are beautiful. Plus, they’re not expensive. These eyeliners are a fraction of the cost of Too Faced, Chanel, Lancome, Pat McGrath, etc., and they perform twice as well. I’ve worn so many different brands and they all have the same problem: the liner pulls away from the fake wood and it happens really fast. These eyeliner pencils are an excellent value. I will be exclusively using this eyeliner from now on. For real wood lip liners, try Morph. I finally said goodbye to my Holy Grail Chanel Nude lip liner, after 30 years , because of the fake wood issue. I found a shade in Morph that matches. MAC lip liner is also in real wood.

I purchased two of these pencils - brown and black. Brown for my eyelid just above my lash line and black for my upper eyelid just along the lashes on the underside. The pencils work great for both purposes. I have found in the past that this type of pencil (wood that must be sharpened) tend to be harder than the twist-to-dispense type of pencils, so I was concerned. But no cause for worry - these pencils go on very smoothly without little to no pressure - no pulling or tugging of the delicate skin around the eyes. Easy to get a softer line or a sharper one by how hard you press. Contrary to another reviewer's experience, I had no problem smudging the pencil, and it has not worn off quickly, but stayed looking good. I have not experienced any irritation or itchiness as mentioned by some others. Perhaps they have an allergy they weren't aware of. Although a bit more expensive than the grocery store brand pencils I was using previously, I feel it's a good value for high quality, natural ingredients in a pencil form that should last a good long time.

This eyeliner is affordable, goes on dark and smooth, and doesn’t burn my eyes like every other eyeliner. Though not waterproof and certainly smudgeable, it also survives sweating and tearing much better than other soft pencil liners and contributes to raccoon eye probably 60% less than what I’m used to. But! I’m really surprised by the PETA certification since beeswax is not vegan and farming it is not necessarily cruelty free. If you feel that bee farming helps keep dying populations stable, have at this. If you feel that maintaining a captive species because the wild populations are dying out due to human interference with the environment doesn’t count towards animal advocacy, don’t have at this.

I love this eyeliner!! It has a soft tip making it easy to apply. That plus it looks very pretty when applied. I cannot say enough positive things about it. I'm a customer for life!!!!

I really do love this eyeliner. I was hesitant to try it but for the price I could not pass it up and it is one of my favorites. First off I love the color is not to dark and not to light. Secondly it goes on so easy for a pencil. It works like a crayon except you sharpen it like a pencil. It stays on really well if you let it dry a minute before it hits the wetness of your eye. It is easy to clean off when I wash my face and the price was great. I will be getting other colors in this eyeliner and recommend you try it for yourself.

Very unhappy. It goes on okay, but within fifteen minutes or so, the liner drawn on lower lashes smudges terribly. I had "own eyes" very quickly. I will return if I can.

I love the color. I did not like that it does not go on smoothly; it was not effortless as the title states. I really have to go back and forth to get it to leave any color, or press really hard (which is not good for the delicate eye area). Maybe it's just old, because other past reviewers said it went on smoothly and easily (and my other colors in this line go on smoothly--even after months of use). However, once I got this Charcoal gray color on, it really stays more so than the other colors in this brand. I have a tip for trying to sharpen these eye pencils. The white, plastic coating makes it difficult to sharpen, so I solve that by scraping all the white coating off with a sharp blade (such as a small pocket knife or a handy cutting blade kept in a tool box). All it takes is a gentle shave. I have really liked this line of pencils in the past, so I'm hoping the not-so-good quality of this color was just a fluke.

Awesome eyeliner...for me it glides on effortlessky and not overpowering thick like many eyeliner pencils Ive tried..Ive tried gels..pencils....crayons. Bt far this one is the best so far... Does not smudge...stays in place all day....and washes off easily...I am 63 yrs old and have sensitive eyes..this pencil does not affect my eyes at all. Definately will buy it again...
