I just used this chair for the first time in the shower. I have a knee that is being replaced and a pinched nerve running down the length of my other leg and I can't stand in the shower and hate taking baths. So far it has worked very well, it felt a bit wobbly to me until I sat on it and it was fine. Just a word of precaution - don't sit on it if you have a soapy butt - you could flying :)

I purchased this for my elderly parents. It was extremely easy to assemble (took 5 minutes at the most), is sturdy, and fit (just barely) in their 60-year old tub.

Extremely easy to assemble at your own personal height level, SUPER sturdy AND comfortable - yet easy to move in and out of tub. I had previously purchased one of these for my mom a few years ago from a medical supply. They have since gone out of business. My mom thought that this would be a great product for her sister who has difficulty with mobility. Mom feels so safe using this she wanted her sister to have the same one. Some shower chairs have hand holes on the seat. This one has side handles which give the user more leverage when sitting and standing. Amazon delivered it to her door, her son assembled it and she was able to use it that night. She loves it and it gives her more independence in her personal care. Great product!

Following hip and knee surgery, I had to sit while in the shower. This stool was perfect as it is light weight (easily lifted, moved and placed where wanted), is steady and sturdy (felt safe as I twisted, leaned, etc), and simple to dry off after use. Assembling it, however, proved a bit challenging while I attempted to first, correctly place the legs in their attachment tubes and then maneuver/seat the locking button in the desired hole. A rubber mallet gave me enough force to tap the legs to the proper location and a Phillips screw driver successfully maneuvered the locking button to its desired setting. I am very satisfied with this assistive device.
