It’s weird being excited about a can opener but, I am. Awesome, easy, fast. Being warned about knees and back pain when I got older was useful, wish someone would have told me I’d get excited about kitchen tools.

This has to be the best can opener I have ever owned! While it is a little bit larger than other can openers it makes the functionality so much better. With the turn knob you can move it down to allow for easier storage, but that knob makes it so much easier to use even on larger cans. The magnet and the blade are strong enough that it doesn't slip when you're trying to open a can. As far as can openers go, this is the best value while feeling like a premium upgrade from a cheapy can opener, and definitely is easier to use than an electric one!

Great tool. Easy to use and takes very little effort. But I use it mostly on 14.5 oz cans and have to lift the can off the counter becasue of the length of the crank.

Wow, more robust than I thought it would be. Reminds me of the commercial can openers I’ve used in restaurant kitchens. Washes easily and I love the fold down handle for storage. Opens cans without any struggle and easy on my hands that are beginning to feel the twinges of arthritis. Super functional and high quality apparatus. Would definitely recommend.

Great for larger cans and if you have trouble with fine motor skills. Highly recommend for others with arthritis or hand issues

Modified to make it more comfortable. I bought this thinking it would be better than my existing, it is larger and has a magnet to pick up the lid. But the metal is thinner, handles thinner, and the large crank can impact your hand if you don't place your hand correctly. That is the issue, the unit is so thin on the handles that there is not a good resting place for your hand, so I made one. Please see pictures. Also, the handles are too long, I ended up cutting off 3/4 to 1 inch and shortened them. It did not impact the usefulness at all, but not tried to open large 1 gallon cans. The mod requires a Dremel cutting tool, drill and bits, a bolt + nut, and a small piece of metal that you can bend in a vise. So now I have a nice resting place for my thumb to go and out of the way. I will dip the thumb rest in Plasti dip rubberized tool coating for a nicer finish soon. It is a much better device now with my mods. They could easily mold this into a future design. I can't believe all the lousy can openers on the market that can't after a century figure out how to make a really nice opener.

Definitely not for seniors or if you need to open on your own. Moves while you’re trying to open ..and so hard to wind the very large winder. Terrible…should have returned but thru out the box…will give away…had to buy another. Not recommended.
