Roller Coaster Review
I was so happy with this blender when I first got it to replace my generic made in Germany personal blender that was growing mold under the seals and didn’t blend very well. Well, I’m not happy anymore. Every time I have gone to use my Ninja, it has needed to be charged. I literally charged it yesterday with my smoothie in it, got it to full battery capacity, ran it once to blend my smoothie, and a second time to clean it. Now it’s dead this morning and charging with yet another smoothie in it. I just want a reliable personal blender. Is that so much to ask? Update from a few days later: I charged it TWICE this morning because I knew I’d be using it tonight. IT’S DEAD! After two charges and not being used, it’s dead! And it’s not like I used this thing to death when I first got it either. I have used this blender maybe 9 times since I got it. I’m beyond disappointed. Ninja used to be a good brand. ***UPDATE TO THE UPDATE*** I registered my blender with Ninja after all of this nonsense, and then I reached out to support. I sent them videos of the issue and they gave me a case number and a phone number to call. I didn’t have to prove anything to them, they just told me they would have to send out a replacement and that I didn’t have to send mine back. I know that shopping for personal blenders is a NIGHTMARE AND A HALF, because they either don’t chop, don’t hold a charge, burn your house down, etc. If you’re going to take the risk to get one anyway, just go with this one. When it works, it pulverizes everything you put in it. When it doesn’t work, Ninja stands by their products and takes care of the issue. I’m updating my review to 3 stars, but if my replacement blender works, it’ll be 5 stars. Oh, and by the way, the customer service dude was really pleasant and spoke English. I was never transferred to India or anything like that. ******Hopefully Final Update****** So, I got my replacement blender from Ninja, and I love it! I use it about every other day, and I have only had to charge it four times now. It works wonderfully, but the only thing it sometimes struggles with is whole frozen strawberries. Don’t get me wrong, it can pulverize them. It just may take more than one blend cycle, which is fine when you have a blender that actually works, unlike the one I got from Amazon. I can finally wholeheartedly recommend this blender.

Perfect, Impressive, Personal Blender
This personal blender has been my favorite so far! Was bought to replace the other brand that went out of business. This design is improved, the quality is better as the base or the motor can be removed from the cup so you don’t have to worry about water damage. It crushes ice in one blend. The size is perfect for meal replacement. And the noise level is perfect. It takes a charge quickly and lasts for days. I love the improvement Ninja has made with this style of personal blenders.

A must have for people on the go!
I am a nurse and mother to small children currently. My husband and I feel we are always on the go and we find it difficult to eat breakfast and we really want to start eating healthier. In the morning before going to work we make our self protein smoothies. The blender works great and blends all the fruit and protein powder great. The seal is good and it’s very easy to use. The only major issue for me is that the blender part stays on and it makes it a little heavy to transport. But other than that I think it’s a great product for anyone but especially those on the go! We loved it so much we actually got one for our 3 yr old daughter so that she can also have her own smoothies.

Shocking power that is worth the buy!
I am blown away by this Ninja personal portable blender. I own a large tabletop Ninja blender but it is just so incredibly loud, it hurts my ears to use. Plus, who wants to use a huge blender for a single serving smoothie and have to clean up the entire mess before work? That, in addition to feeling bad using a blender as loud as a jet engine at 8am with a roommate 10 feet from the kitchen, led me to this blender. Right off the bat I was worried that it would be too large to comfortable carry with the base, but that is not the case at all. It is only as tall as my 18 ounce Yeti, and only slightly wider. It’s compact, but not so small that you won’t be able to fit all of your ingredients for a personal smoothie (assuming you don’t drink massive smoothies). It feels really quality too. The base is solid and has some weight to it. The plastic “cup” is pretty thick and also has a bit of weight to it which is nice. The “ribbing” is only on the external for aesthetic purposes and does not influence performance. Opening the cap to the drink position feels really sketchy, but I haven’t had any issues. You open it and then essentially snap it down into a locked positions so that it doesn’t fall onto your face when sipping your smoothie, but snapping it into that position feels like you’re breaking the cap. Again, no issues yet for me but it just feels wrong applying that pressure to a plastic cap. In my video, I was worried I would be doing the product an injustice by not filling to the “Min Liquid” line, and additionally by over filling the container slightly past the “Max Fill” line. I loaded the blender with a small splash of water, maybe 2.5-3 ounces (even though it says 6 ounces is the minimum liquid), added a cup of Chiobani zero sugar yogurt, a medium banana, and a whole cup of frozen fruit that contained strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. I expected that the blender would not blend well given that I did not have enough liquid and technically filled beyond the max fill line. To my COMPLETE shock, the smoothie was fully blended by the end of a SINGLE 30 second blend cycle, without any shaking to aid in the blending. Ninja recommends shaking the blender while it runs to help everything blend, but that wasn’t even necessary. Some people claim that 2 blends is necessary for fully blended smoothies which, sure, might be necessary if you have mostly frozen fruit. Even then, an 30 extra seconds with a blender this quiet is nothing. In such a tiny device, is incredible to me. It’s incredible to be able to put such a strong motor in such a small, portable device. Set realistic expectations for this blender and you will not be disappointed. If you expect to make enough smoothie for 2 or more people with this device, it’s not for you. If you expect to be able to blend all “dry” ingredients without adding a bit of of liquid, this likely is not for you. If you expect this to blend with the power of a $400 Vitamix that is 5-7 times larger, this is likely not for you. But, if you’re looking for an incredible personal blender to make single serving smoothies on the go, this is for you and you should buy it as soon as you can. I regret not buying it earlier! It’s also great for homemade sauces/dressings. I’ve made homemade chipotle adobo salad dressing with it and it came out fantastic. I’ve also made low calorie Alfredo sauce out of cottage cheese, milk, cream cheese, and Parmesan and it, again, worked wonderfully. Cleaning is fine but not a breeze. No matter what you’re going to end up getting the base wet and it feels sketchy getting water all over a battery powered motor base. I do my best to be extremely cautious when cleaning the base (I remove the cap, fill with water, blend to clean the blades, empty the cup, then remove it to focus on the blades/base) but water always ends up flowing down the base so I can see this causing problems if the charging port cover comes loose and water gets inside. Now for the cons: I’m rating this a 4/5 stars and the one star is lost to the battery life, lack of low battery warning, and inability to blend while charging. It claims that the blend light will turn yellow to signify that the battery is running low and then red for when it is in need of a charge/doesn’t have enough power to blend. That was not the case for me. I turned the blender on before making a smoothie to make sure it wasn’t reading low battery, put in my smoothie ingredients, hit the road to drive to work, and started to blend within 10 minutes. After running for about 5 seconds, the blender stopped and showed the red light signifying that the battery was dead and needed to be charged. Leading up to that blend, I’d maybe run about 6-8 blender cycles. There was also no yellow low battery warning light. It was really frustrating. I managed to find a charger once I got to work and to my surprise, the blender is unable to blend while charging. I don’t understand the reasoning for that, but it’s disappointing. I tried to run the blender again after about 7 minutes of charging and was able to get 1 full blend cycle in which was enough to fully blend the remainder of my now semi-thawed smoothie. Not the most delightful experience that day but I guess just charge it after every use and you should be able to avoid that situation. Overall I’m really satisfied with the product and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a personal smoothie blender or salad dressing/sauce blender!

Portable blender practical, powerful and easy to use
This portable blender has been an excellent purchase. It is very light and compact, ideal to take to work, the gym or travel. The battery lasts a long time. I was surprised at how powerful it is for its size: it can crush soft fruits and vegetables without problems, and the smoothies are very homogeneous. Cleaning is also quick and easy, which is a great plus for everyday life.

Powerful Little Blender For On The Go
I picked up this Ninja Blast portable blender to make quick shakes and smoothies without dragging out a full size blender, and it has been great. For such a small cordless unit, it has plenty of power to handle protein powder, fruit, ice, and nut butters as long as you do not overload it. I really like that I can blend right in the 18 ounce cup, pop on the leakproof lid, and take it with me without dirtying extra dishes. The USB C charging is very convenient. I charge it at my desk or in the car and it holds a charge well enough for several blends before needing more power. The sip spout is handy for drinking directly from the cup and it has not leaked on me in a bag. Cleanup is simple too, since the parts are dishwasher safe, which makes it easy to use it every day. If you want a portable blender for work, the gym, or travel that actually blends smoothly and is easy to live with, this one is a very solid choice.

Perfect light-duty portable blender! Great gift idea as well as a personal treat
I got this primarily to replace the Blendjet portable blender. Given this was a Ninja product, I had to give it a go and I must say, it does the job pretty well. I personally wouldn’t recommend doing heavy duty blending (i.e. frozen stuff, thick ingredients like peanut butter, metric loads of honey, etc), but for general blending like with protein powders, leafy greens, and softer fresh fruits like sliced apples and berries, this does the job insanely well. The size between the Blendjet and the Ninja Blast are identical, though the Blast is a little bit taller due to its base. Though, it is still roughly the same diameter as the Blendjet, which allows me to carry it in my cupholder. Like most Ninja products, I am very impressed. I still wouldn’t recommend blending things like a full size blender, because it is LITERALLY not designed to do that, but general blending with leafy greens and certain fruits are good. It’s easy as literally pressing the start button after the ring turns purple. I just wished it was a little bit easier to clean….

It is convenient and easy, works well.
Make sure to remove the gasket and wash it and under it immediately. Otherwise it started to produce an odor. It is December. I purchased this in June and have literally used it daily. Protein shake every morning after the treadmill. Nothing difficult to normal, only 2 ice cubes. It has worked beautifully every day, charge lasts several days. Just this week or had started giving strange colors and sometimes not working at all. I then charge overnight and let it sit the next day. Works fine today. 🤷♀️ Perhaps the end is near. I am not sure i'd buy another. Might try a different brand. But I do like it and love the convenience and can travel with it if I'm driving.
