Amazing
I bought this about 8 months ago, and I have had it on the lowest setting ever since. The filter has yet to go despite the 6-month estimation. A couple of days ago, we had an issue with some expired milk; the house smelled revolting. I set the fan to maximum speed for about 10 minutes with some lavender oil in the fragrance pad, and the whole bedroom smelled fresh and normal again, despite the house still emitting a rotten egg smell. I think this is a great product and really does work. For a budget air purifier, this is a perfect little machine. The only issue is if you struggle to get to sleep it might be a bit noisy even on the lowest setting, but it can work as white noise if you like that (I do, so it's perfect). Defo recommend it if you want a fresher-smelling room.

Very pleased - quiet and effective
Very pleased, quiet and effective I am very pleased with this air purifier. It is exceptionally quiet, even on the higher settings, and works well without being at all obtrusive. The size is perfect for a bedroom or small room and it sits neatly without taking up much space. The air feels fresher very quickly and it has been particularly helpful with dust and general air quality. I also like the fragrance sponge option, which is subtle rather than overpowering. Easy to set up, simple to use, and excellent value for the price. I would happily recommend this and would buy it again.

Too powerful for my room?
I have placed the appliance on one side of my desk. My bedroom is super small and extremely dusty. We also have four cats that like to roam across my room to reach my window a lot which sends visible fur and dirt flying into the air. I have really bad asmtha and wake up with a throat full of mucus and stuffy nose. I also always have an annoying odor to my room which isn't a great addition to the list of problems. So I finally decided to pick up one of these air purifiers to see if it would actually work. The product arrived a day earlier than expected which is great so I set the thing up and the first thing I notice is that the appliance actually looks very minimal and nice which fits the theme of my room. After removing the packaging from the filter I powered it up and I found there is quite a lot of noise a bit like a drowned out waterfall so it's not too bad but that's just on setting number one. On settings number two and three the machine gets so loud it's like a jet engine. After a while my chest felt kind of tight and I assumed it was because I had the machine right next to me so I moved it to another corner of the room but that could have just been in my head. I have not really noticed any difference with the amount of dust in the air but I do think it helps a lot with dissipating excessive deodorant spraying and the smoke from my parents cooking from the downstairs kitchen. I do think this machine is too powerful for my small room as when I wake up I no longer have mucus throat but now I have dry soar throat and I need to drink a bit when I wake up to relieve it. I think the machine is giving me the dry throat because I don't wake up like that when I have the machine turned off. Maybe I'll experiment more and post and update in future because I'm still not too sure on this one. :L

Seems pretty good (update added)
I bought this for my bedroom/office as it was getting more use working from home and I noticed an increase in dust and therefore allergies as I have the windows open to keep some fresh air and cool in the summer. 2 days in and I can feel/see the difference - Less sneezing and ichy eyes, no dust particles floating in the air when the shines through the window. Pros: 4 speed settings (High really does move some air, and night is very quiet). It works well in a 16' x 10' x 8' room. In the first 2 days of use I have removed the filter and cleaned off a layer of collected dust from the first mesh layer. Easy to remove filter (twist the bottom of the unit). Smart control via third party app and Alexa voice control (was super easy to pair and set up). Which works even if im out/away and not connected to the same network (unlike some smart devices). Programmable multiple step schedule in the app (on/off/speed/light/display) with loads of flexibility in the settings. Good length of mains cable (approx 1.5m) allows some flexibility in placement (see comment about placement). Night mode is pretty quiet (not silent but not obtrusive). Built in timer (also has a time in app functions). Built in night light (I don't use it). Recalls previous settings (so don't have to keep turning the display or night light off every time I change the fan speed). Remaining filter life in app plus easy reorder via app (or Amazon). Plenty of these sold so filters should be easy to source for quite a few years yet (either from the manufacturer or after-market versions). Cons: Slightly larger than I expected (I should have read the spec). But at least it's not massive. Rather annoyed it went onto a deal £15 cheaper the day after I bought it!!! (Technically not really a con, but still annoying). Replacement filters are £20 (although they will last 8-12 months if cleaned regularly and depending upon use). Useful tips: Don't forget to take the filter out if the plastic bag before turning it on (as some people have missed this)! Wipe or hoover the filter to maintain airflow. Google about best placement before buying to ensure you can place this where it will work best for you. I was surprised to read that floor placement is NOT recommend for best performance. I turned this on full power and dusted. It sucked up a lot of the visible airborne dust while doing this. Note on the video: This is on high setting, using a torch to show the dust being pulled in (I think I need to dust more often - or should have bought one of these years ago)! Summary: So good I've bought another one (for £15 less) for the living room. There are plenty of other brands and models to choose from, which I cannot comment on, but this is well worth the money. If you don't want/need to convince of smart features save yourself a few quid and get the standard model (still has a timer function, etc). UPDATE: As I mentioned I'm now running 2 of these, and the second one is quieter than the first. The main noise is airflow (certainly on the high setting), but there is also a slight squeak/squealing noise that has become more obvious now I have something to compare it to (the second one is near-silent in hight mode). So have requested a refund, and wil still buy another (especially if it's still on a deal price. Let's see how well the requested return goes. Perhaps there will be another update to add.

QUALITY BIT OF KIT, HELPS WITH ALLERGIES
Arrived quickly, looks quality, very reassuring. Good instructions in English. I use the essential oil pad every night, so very glad of spares. We're kicking up a lot of dust while preparing to move house. Allergies and snoring due to snuffly nose - all this has been reduced. We put it on full power about 5pm with bedroom door closed. We reduce power to minimum for sleep. Extremely quiet - have to put hand above the fan to feel it's on! We used to just put essential oil on pillow but it can be too strong so close to face and it stains pillow cases. I thoroughly recommend this item if you have stuffy nose or allergies leading to disturbed sleep. Or if you're kicking up a lot of dust!! 😉

Transformational
I live in a basement flat in central London. The air quality is poor and dust is a constant challenge. My sinuses respond accordingly unfortunately. I spend most of my time indoors sniffing, sneezing and constantly blowing my nose. That was until I bought two of these air purifiers. Transformational. In just two weeks, the air quality in my flat has improved immensely and my sinuses now think I’m on top of an Alpine mountain. My handkerchiefs stay in their drawer. I have positioned the fans at each end of the flat, one at ground level (to pick up heavier particles) and one at ‘breathing’ level (to pick up lighter, airborne particles). Most of the time I just leave the fan speed on low but occasionally crank them up to medium. Fan noise is minimal. For the improvement in air quality and sinus improvement, these devices are worth every penny … wish I’d bought them years ago.

Air is fresher, less dust but not ‘ultra quiet’
I’ve had this purifier for 4 months now, so this is my honest review based on having it for this length of time. My room is a dust magnet so I bought this so I could tackle the dust, as well as get a better nights sleep. It has definitely addressed those issues well! I don’t have to dust as often and having fresh air circulating whilst sleeping has improved my quality of sleep too. The ‘ultra quiet’ element is quite inaccurate in my opinion. The first of the 3 modes is definitely quiet. I can happily sleep with that noise and it’s just like having a very low fan on in the room. However, the second and third modes are considerably louder on my purifier. I only use these if I’ve just hoovered or dusted the room, or I’m not in the room entirely! I couldn’t sleep with these modes on and I doubt anyone else could for the matter. I’d also recommend to turn the purifier off and open your windows every month or so (or sooner if you prefer) as I found it better for the purifier to work on ‘new air’, instead of my room smelling a bit like the ‘old air’ had been circulating for too long (I hope that made sense). It also doesn’t use a lot of electricity, so having it on all of the time doesn’t weigh heavy on the conscience. That is my only concern though. Apart from the noise, I believe that it’s working effectively and I won’t hesitate to replace the filter in a couple of months! P.S The scent pad tray for essential oils is a bit of a gimmick. You’re better off just buying an oil diffuser!

Levoit Air Purifier - better than expected
I bought this product based on a really good review in a quality newspaper that stated when used in a bedroom it should assist with various chest illnesses. I know the Levoit brand having bought two excellent tower fans from Amazon earlier last year and was impressed by the quality. I wasn't disappointed when I unpacked this air purifier. It was nicely packaged and the instructions were clear - make sure you read them and untwist the top half from the bottom half to gain access to the power pack and also to remove the plastic from the filter. I placed this in my bedroom on the lowest setting and, I have to say, I noticed a difference on the first night! I really did sleep better and breathing was a lot easier. I have now used it for over two weeks (leaving it switched on all the time since it hardly uses any electricity) and am really pleased with the results. My sleep has been deeper and more restful, the bedroom air quality actually feels different to the rest of my home and, although expensive, I am glad I bought this and will certainly recommend it to anyone who needs better air quality.
