No, the USB plug is 5V voltage, while the voltage of the LED strip is 12V, LED strip will not light up with the USB plug

If you wire it directly to your tailights then you won't need a fuse since those are already fused. But, these lights won't work as a tail/stop light. If you want them to only turn on when applying the brake. You're going to have to run the wire all the way to your fuse box and hook it into you brake fuse. Or the CHMSL
