We used this to make Americanos from the expresso shots. I like two or three shots in my Americano and the Vev Vigano delivers about 6-8 shots depending on how much coffee you have put in. They recently added into the description that it produces 1-1.5 ounces which is a little more clear but I'm still not sure how that translates into a 2 cup pot. (I understand the measurements are based on making expresso shots that you can then mix with milk and have a mug of a latte type coffee). This pot maybe holds 1.5 ounces of water which isn't the real problem. The funnel that you put your coffee grounds into does not hold enough coffee to brew a strong shot. You would need to brew twice with this pot to get a half mug of coffee. If you are looking to make a 1/2 of an average coffee mug of strong brew to mix with milk or water you will need at least a 4 cup pot and maybe a 6 cup. The two stars are mostly for the experience of trying to return this product to 'On Cloud 9' It took forever to receive this in the mail and then after realizing I would need to return I had to request a return and wait 5 days to hear from them. Then they couldn't find the pot 2 weeks after returning it. I was finally refunded (by Amazon) 2 months after ordering. However I think that Vev-Vigano makes quality products I would advise going to a different seller and ordering a 4-6 cup pot. Italian espresso measures are about 2 ounces, and this barely holds enough liquid for one espresso. Two cups of espresso should be about 4 ounces, and this is not. At least, that is my understanding of espresso measures.
