Not all supplements are quality and one must be informed and careful. Double Wood is a reliably quality producing supplement company! I've never gone wrong with them! This Valerian root is everything you would look for. No alcohol, natural, a great price and no junk ingredients. This is great for calming the nerves and gently helping to wind down for sleep. It does not give me any exaggerated effects, headache or morning grogginess. I have a hard time getting to sleep, which can come with age. I use this and other natural products to coax my body into restful sleep and I love that there are no down sides to taking this. I highly recommend it!

I was actually pleasantly surprised. If you’re a restless person that just has trouble clearing the mind and thoughts to fall asleep fast this stuff actually works. Has a pleasant relaxing calming effect if taken during waking hours and lets you drift off if trying to sleep.

Worked good and is affordable. But it started to get an aluminum taste in my mouth after a week or so of taking it. I'm guessing the tincture process isn't the typical "let it sit for 6 weeks in glycerin" process. They must use foil to speed up the process. Which can cause alhmeizers when using for extended periods of time.

I used to take Valerian root pills, hated them. So I took the tea, loved it but some nights I didn’t have time to start the kettle and wait half an hour to an hour to drink it (I work retail so I close most nights). So I bought this and it’s pretty good. Valerian calms me down before bed a lot better than any anxiety medication I’ve ever taken. I take it half an hour before taking some melatonin. But only if I’m anxious or restless. I do not take it every night. (My body rejects melatonin if I’m too wired.) I’m only giving it four stars because it’s hard to just squirt it down my throat. I could put it in water but it’s actually not very tasty. Actually it only tastes well when I drink tea. Which it says you really shouldn’t put in too hot of drinks. It does its job and I’ll be buying again. Not sure if it’s worth the money yet.

This valerian DOES NOT WORK AT ALL! I've been using valerian for over 20 years and this is by far the worst I've ever tried. It does not give any effect and does nothing to help with sleep. It's glycerine based so it's very sugary, but most people take before bed to help with sleep and I don't want a bunch of sugar on my teeth right before bed. The alcohol based tinctures work MUCH better. This product is so weak that I didn't get any benefit. I bought two bottles because the reviews were good, and now I find out that it's one of the only products I've bought from Amazon that is not returnable. I will be switching back to Gaia or Nature's Answers. This is the worst so buyer beware! No wonder they don't allow returns because it sucks!
