Nice Looking Nautical Theme Stanchion Ropes, Stictly for Visually Suggestive Barrier
These ropes are thick and wonderful! Yes, they are made from natural hemp fibers, so they smell like and all out hay barn, but I kind of like that smell. Its a fairly loose twist on the rope, so these are floppy and yielding. From the end of one clasp to the end of the other is just about 6 feet even. With the natural rope and chrome ends, I think these work for a showy nautical themed location or event. The ends of the rope are just taped and then screwed into the cuffs with just a pair of screws, so these offer no support whatsoever (as I can just pull the rope out of the cuff with little effort), and should not be relied on as a safety barrier of any kind, strictly a visual barrier. However, if they had dipped the ends in epoxy that would have allowed the screws and cuffs to hold much more securely. I will probably make that upgrade for these before putting them in use just to prevent these from failing. That aside, I still give 4 stars for the quality of the components.

High Quality, Well Made
These stanchion ropes are even better than I thought they would be when I ordered them. It can be hard to see quality for something like this on the listing, but when they came I was happy to find that they are well made. They're a bit rustic, which I like...sort of reminds me of the old timey ones that gave me splinters when I'd play with them as a kid at the movie theater. These are pretty heavy duty, and they'll stand the test of time, I think. I'll update with any problems that might arise, but for now, I'm very happy with them.

Metal caps not secured well
Immediately fell apart. the caps on the ends are held on by short screws into rope with only a thin layer of packing tape; Picking them up too fast had the caps falling off. Ended up filling the caps with epoxy and adding the screws as it set to give it some actual mechanical bond. The rope itself seems sturdy and the clips also feel durable.
