Have been using this brand for long time. I give it to my cats, mix it into their food. Instead buying the expensive one from the pet store or Vet's office, it's the exact same thing. Got that tip from the person I adopted them from. Keeping my babies healthy. It's a fair price. I usually get it from the Health Food store but they were out.

I've been using lysine for years with my one cat who gets stuffed up. It helps clear up her breathing.

This L-Lysine is the perfect amino acid to help with cognitive and weight loss. It is a great value for the money, the texture is little pellets that dissolve perfectly, small size container but lasts for a long time. I will continue using this Carlson product with many others.

The product arrived just fine and as advertised. I got it because I suddenly had bumps appear on my lips sort of like cold sores and thought that lysine would help. I think it did but the side effect for me is that it acted like a vasodilator which I don't need; it caused my veins under my skin to be more obvious. I also put some of the powder into a little water & dabbed it on the bumps; that seemed to help. This is a good product if you need more lysine in your diet for some reason. You can put it into a glass of water or other liquid & drink it.

Works well for cold sores. I mix it with an applesauce cup and it blends well too.

I have dietary restrictions and can't swallow the usually very large L-Lysine pills. This powdered form is not only easy to consume but doesn't take like a vitamin.

Very happy I got this vs. inch long pill. Just put in yogurt and never know you got it in there.

Carlson is one of the best supplement brands, in my experience, and this is pure l-lysine (an amino acid), with no fillers. We've been using it as part of the "Pauling Protocol" for ensuring cardiovascular health (l-lysine, l-proline, and Vitamin C). It's also TERRIFIC for immune support and can help speed recovery from colds, shortening their duration & possibly even suppressing them completely (MY OPINION & EXPERIENCE). L-lysine helps with so many things; muscle retention, skin health, and more. It can even help treat or even suppress cold sore breakouts at an 8 gram dose; can't remember the dosage schedule, but you can look it up online. This is not a listed benefit, but I find it helps me concentrate better when I have a long project to tackle. If I start feeling mentally fatigued, I'll take a 2 gram dose with some Vitamin C and within about 20 minutes, I'm back on my game. Just FYI, I have a very mild case of inattentive-type ADD, so this is a TERRIFIC aid for that issue. Focus drifts? Lysine to the rescue. I do not know why this works, I only know that it does (cannot find any substantiation for this effect in any of the medical literature). We also sprinkle a little bit of this on our cat's food about once a month or as needed for improving his immunity and general health. You can mix this with a small amount of water or juice --OR-- my favorite method is to fill my own capsules by using Now Foods Veg-Capsules Double "00" Empty Capsules, 250-Count and a capsule filler like this Cap-M-Quik + Tamper, Capsule Filling Filler Machine, size 00 .
