These are really darkening. Even though it seems like light is coming through the curtains it is definitely dark in the room. The picture below shows on the left; windows with the blinds down. The right is our porch door which has no blinds. These were tested during a heatwave with heat index of 106, and the temp in the apartment stayed very cool. Usually the inside temp will jump 5 degrees in the afternoon but with the curtains the inside temp rose 1 or 2 degrees. The color is beautiful and classic looking. Very strong and silky smooth material. Great purchase for the price. Works very well in my opinion. The size was perfect, I usually do 84” but went with the 54”. These curtains also do the trick when it comes to watching movies in the day time. Really darkens the room.

I absolutely love these H.VERSAILTEX blackout curtains! Not only do they really block out sunlight, but they also help keep my craft room cooler, especially during hot afternoons. The thermal insulation is surprisingly effective — I’ve noticed a real difference in the temperature of the room since I hung them up.But what really sets these curtains apart is the design. The bird print is beautifully whimsical. It adds a soft, rustic charm to the room without being too busy or overpowering. The colors are subtle but vibrant enough to bring a little personality to the space.

Fabric is high quality tho the birds aren’t quite as adorable as I’d hoped they’d be. Room darkens sufficiently for the western side of our home in the afternoon. They add some color to our home office so we don’t feel the need to paint it for that pop of color. Overall happy w/our purchase.

I live in the South. It is so HOT now. I wanted some curtains that I could use to block some of the constant light coming into my den. The room gets direct sunlight and makes the space hotter than I want. After looking at many different curtains, I settled on these. I wanted something with the same color scheme as the ones I had (which I will use in the winter when I want that heat from the window). But for the Summer, I wanted these to block and keep the space cooler. After unpacking them, I was so surprised how beautiful they were. The fabric feels rich and LUCIOUS. They have a great weight. They weren't wrinkled at all and hung well. I wanted them to puddle on the floor, but I ordered the 84 in length so that I didn't have to move the rods when I switch them out in January. I may have to remove the hem because they are not touching the floor. And again, I don't want to adjust the rods. I think it will be fine. The color is a soft shade, not as dark as pictured on the site. I'm going to paint this room, so I think with a darker wall, they will pop more than they do now with this beige color.I'm using these in a den area, but they would be great in a bedroom or even a living room. The fabric and design would work in many areas of a home. They feel more expensive than they were. I love the birds on the design. I have a blue/grayish sofa, and the birds have a lot of colors on them (blues, red, yellow, green) that accent the couch.I'm very pleased with this purchase. I'll update a picture when it is brighter in the room.

Beautiful open and closed

The taupe birds are beautiful. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because they still let light in. Our window faces eastward and we have blinds. On a scale from 1 (no blackout effect) to 10 (complete blackout) I'd put these at 7 or 8.

Look perfect in my office. Beautiful, soft luxurious material and room darkening! The only issue is the cheap plastic anchors they come with; they’re are worthless. you need the real metal anchors that truly open up and provide support.

Color is as pictured. It has nice weight. Delivered in timely manner.
