I read some customers were complaining that the holes were not aligned for the screws, well I guess im lucky with what I got then. It was perfect for my 2 SSD setup to be put in just one 3.5 bay. My only suggestion would be to have an improvement with the manual and which and where to put the different screw sizes. I managed to somehow install them in the right holes by checking back on my previous SSD which was the OCZ that has its own adapter for the 3.5. It would also help to have an arrow as to which way the bay should be facing as I made an error at first on putting it the other way making the holes not meeting together. Furthermore, my computer seem to be unstable when Im using the power splitter provided, I am not sure but when I put everything with the power splitter that was provided is my computer was shutting down and was unstable, so i decided to just use the vacant power cables direct from my PSU and connect it to my SSD's. Apart from those, everything is fine.Very happy with the quality.

This was the only tray I found that was compatible with the quick-release mounts on my ThermalTake case. With no useful dimensions in the product descriptions of these types of adapters, I had to try lots of different ones until I found that this one fits. Having seen several, all I can say is they're all slightly different so it's pot luck as to whether what you buy will actually fit your machine. That said, this one is fine (for a bit of folded metal), with space for two drives and mounting holes for a cooling fan if you so wish.

I found that the vertical posts were just a bit too tall to allow it to fit easily inside my iMac, where it was to hold a 2.5" solid state replacement drive. Luckily, it's metal, so I was able to bend the supports to make it fit. The screw holes are the right size and in the right places to take the 3.5" drive fittings, and it is now safely installed in my iMac. Note: The 2.5" drive is held centrally. The SATA connectors on the 2.5" drive are not put into the position that they would be on a 3.5" drive. But this was OK for my purpose, as inside the iMac those connectors are on cables. No doubt for other applications this would be a problem.

Got this one for a WD 250 GB SSD and it was a perfect fit. All necessary screws, two SATA cables with straight connectors and one SATA power cable/splitter were provided with the bracket. Bought this to replace an ill-fitting bracket ORICO AC325-2S-BK , which (thankfully) is no longer available. The unit I've received in December 2016 allowed the use of 3.5 inch mounting inside the PC without any problems. All threaded holes lined up perfectly.

I used this to fit a solid state drive to a Dell XPS 8300 Desktop machine. The cage has to sit vertically in this machine whereas most cages are designed to go in flat. I was really pleased with the cage as it had plenty of holes and they aligned perfectly with the existing mounting points. I used a crucial disk and again the holes aligned perfectly when fitting to the solid state drive. Having bought StarTech before I have come to rely on the quality of the products supplied.

Good comprehensive kit but it doesn't align a SSD properly. Instead it places in centrally. You look at any 3.5" HD and the connectors are offset to one side. So this kit is OK if you have just the one drive in your desktop PC but less suitable when you have two or more drives which are powered via a a single cable which requires all drive power connectors to be aligned. Furthermore, whilst a 2.5" SSD will fit inside the cradle, the cradle is too short to allow the attachment of those plastic quick release mountings for hard drives - which my Dell PC uses.

Fits into a standard 3.5" HDD slot, allowing you to fit a 2.5" SSD. I opted for the dual version, which allows you to fit 2 SSDs into one 3.5" slot as it was only 34p more expensive and the option to fit an extra SSD in future is pretty handy. There were no hitches fitting the drive or mounting the adapter - very straightforward to install.

A really good product and comes with everything one could possibly want to fit a 2.5" drive into a 3.5" slot. Very good value considering it comes with cables as well.

Excelente bracket para instalar 2 discos SDD de 2.5pulg. en una bahia de 3.5pulg. para discos HDD. Viene con todos los tornillos que requieren y con el cable de derivación de alimentación sata en Y, que es muy util cuando la tarjeta madre no tiene mas puertos molex o sata de poder, y quieres conectar más disco duros o clonar tu HDD.

If you're like me, and have a computer case with no 2.5 inch form factor bays, and want to install or upgrade to a SSD, you might be wondering... how? Well, the answer is this... Startech's 3.5 inch Mounting Kit for two 2.5 inch SATA SSD/HDD. This product worked perfectly, allowing me to replace my existing 3.5 inch form factor spinning disk with two Western Digital Blue 1 TB SSD drives. The kit comes with everything you need, including two SATA data cables, a SATA power cable splitter (Y-adapter), and all mounting screws. I opted not to use the included SATA data cables, as my computer already had two SATA cables available (one from the existing spinning disk, and one that I will be stealing from the optical drive that I never use). I most definitely needed the SATA power cable splitter (Y-adapter), as I had no spare SATA power connectors available for the second SSD drive. Mounting the SSDs into the 3.5 inch form factor cage was relatively straight forward. One gets mounted onto the bottom using the bottom mounting holes, and the second just above the first using the side mounting holes. The instructions tell you to use the included washers when mounting the first SSD onto the bottom of the cage, but I found that in doing so, none of the screws were catching the mounting holes, as the washers were adding too much distance between the SSD and bottom of the cage; I ended up not using them. Aside from that, the installation went painlessly. Very happy and satisfied with this product from Startech.
