Helped with post partum recovery

Primarily I got these as we have a baby due in the next couple of months, so expecting these to come in handy for post partum care. We like the fact they seem to be designed for this purpose but also have a number of wider applications where they can be effective to soothe. The strips themselves as you see in the photos are long and fairly wide, and filled with a pink gel. You place them in the freezer, and then when ready to use you place one of the covers over them to prevent direct contact with the skin. Once they have thawed you should clean them between uses and then freeze again. We obviously haven’t used them directly for postpartum care just yet but we did place them in the freezer and use them for a little soothing wrapped in a tea towel for hot and swollen hands and feet during the heat recently and they worked a treat. Froze easily, did the job and were able to clean easily and reuse. It’s nice to know they could be used for bruises etc too, so handy for anyone to have at home not just pregnant people!

Only stay cold for a short time

I received these from Vine. I’m giving birth in a couple of weeks and thought these might help! They are very big and we tested one in the freezer and it froze well but doesn’t last for too long - I’m sure it will be some help on the big day though!

Great shape, not too cold that you have to wrap it heavily. But doesnt last more than 10 or 15 minutes. Glad its a two pack.

Not only do they not freeze enough to help but they do not fit into the area for a hemorrhoidectomy!!! The edges are sharp and the cover they provide is way too course for that sensitive area. If looking for something for this use, I highly recommend the hemorrhoid ice pack wedge also found here on Amazon. Look for my review on that before using. There are a couple tricks & recommendations that helped speed up my recovery. 🤞🏼 good luck.

These are totally worthless. A huge waste of money. They are super thin and the gel doesn’t go from end to end. It says to refrigerate for 30 minutes and they stay cold about 5 minutes. Then Amazon expects them to be returned after they have been used. If I’d known all this I would never have bought them.
