Q: Can the side buttons be disabled? my thumbs keep hitting them by accident and then I have to start filling out forms all over again. It's a problem.

You can change the primary mouse button between right and left but my dialogue box doesn't seem to allow for disabling the side buttons.

Q: Will it pair/work with Amazon kindle fire hd 10 (bluetooth 4.2)?

It should yes, but have not tested that option and have only used it with a laptop. I have used it both with and without the attachment though
