Fantastic headphones. Sound and other features amazing. Worth the extra expense esp on prime deal
Hi, couldn’t wait to do this review before the prime deal runs out. Absolutely amazing headphones. Sound terrific noise cancelling brilliant and does what it says when you start to speak to someone the speaker is turned down instead of continuously having to turn the volume on your own computer down and up again ! Really comfortable , don’t know I m wearing them. Comes with different sized ear buds with which I really struggle due to v narrow ear canals. But in fact at present I m ok with the standard size they were fitted with. I wanted a 2nd pair of ear pods cause continually loosing my present ones -, one either fell out or I didn’t know where I d put them ! They r older style apple ones , so though I get a cheapy pair to just have a back up and thought Mayb I needed an over ear pair to stop them falling out. Alas no ! Despite changing size of buds to the smallest I had to keep ramming them in my ears to get decent sound. Ratings were mainly good on sound quality but may b those have not tried these understandly due to price. The over ear pods hurt awfully after an hour despite advertised as new innovation for comfort. Noise cancelling was non existent! These were a pair fairing well on the market for non branded pods but really don’t c how ! There were something like £27.99 supposedly cut down from £129 , so thought must b good deal -,NOT! Yet if u purchased another colour other than black there were selling them for lower price anyway. Stupidly went for the black thinking if they were the higher price may b the others r nt as good. Marketing ploy by Amazon !! Having said that did c them on other sites for the £129 price ! They looked nice, had digital display of battery charge. But none of the features of sound quality , noise blocking or transparency , volume down when having conversation and automatically back up gradually when finished talking - no sudden blare to scare the pants off u !! Also there apple pro buds allow u to connect to 2 devices at once ie phone and apple mac plus also still have my old ones connected if one dead and need to use other pair. Can connect to someone else’s devise ( as far as I know / not tried that yet) so u can listen to a programme with another not in yr proximity , prob gr8 for gamers which I am not. Just thought Id let u guys know b4 prime deal finishes on 12/7/25 / only used them for a few mins but was wowed esp with the sound quality , noise blocking ( I have a lot of building noise around me at present , not to mention other people’s kids but these speakers shut it all out without me feeling claustrophobic ! And for the volume to go down and up when talking to someone ( or more like they r insisting talking to u !!) is fab. I was sick of continually having to manually turn volume down when someone insisted on talking to me , back up again then down again when they continued to pipe up 😄. No way had I considered spending this much (£179 / normally over £200 which I defo could not have done !) but buying those cheaper ones has proved buy the best u can ( not always true though ) but in this instance it was. So if ur apple users I definitely recommend. Plus on this particular deal Amazon do a spread payments over 5 months ( subject to t&c, and credit score with Amazon - nothing to fill out but think u do have to use a credit rather than debit to pay ) / which really was the changer for me. Good luck. Try b4 prime deal runs out ! Don’t think u ll b disappointed. Plz NOTE THIS REVIEW IS FOR APPLE AIR PODS PRO ( not 4 or 4 pro or any others -,they do not have same features and another review on the 4 pro I think was not good - plz excuse me if got that incorrect but definitely checked what mine r. Check it out quick ! I sound like an Amazon or Apple sales which I can assure u I m not - and don’t usually ( ever!) write long reviews like this but after being caught with a cheap version and only trying these for 5 mins and found how brillliant they r i thought id let u guys know b4 deal ends Rgds.

Best earbuds I've owned, the blue colour is a lovely touch too
Got these in blue and they look great, the colour is subtle but really nice. The noise cancellation is genuinely impressive, I use them daily working from home and they completely block out the noise of our daughter running around the house. The transparency mode is excellent too, you can have a full conversation without taking them out which is handy when my wife needs to tell me something while I'm on a call. Sound quality is superb for the size, bass is punchy without being overwhelming and vocals come through really clearly. Battery life has been solid, I get a full day of mixed use (calls, music, podcasts) before needing to pop them back in the case. The spatial audio feature is fun for films on the iPad as well. Comfort wise they're the best fitting earbuds I've tried, the silicone tips seal really well and they don't fall out during runs on Dartmoor which was always an issue with the standard AirPods. The USB C case is a welcome change from Lightning too, one less cable to carry. Only tiny gripe is the touch controls can be a bit sensitive and I occasionally pause music when adjusting the fit, but you get used to it.

Simply outstanding
I've been holding off purchasing a pair of AirPods for a while now, as my hearing isn't brilliant and I thought it would be a waste of money considering I wouldn't get the full benefit of them. How wrong I was! I've tried cheaper earbuds in the past which always sounded 'messy' to me with little definition between instruments. Not so with the AirPods; for the first time in a long time I can distinguish individual instruments and really enjoy music again. How they get such bass response at lower volume levels is beyond me. You really do get the full listening experience. Being hard of hearing, I was interested in the hearing aid functionality available and have been quite impressed. You go through an audiogram session with them (easily done, and fairly similar to the NHS test). The results were very close to my NHS audiogram which was a good sign. I wear an invisible-in-canal hearing aid day-to-day and obviously have to take it out when I have the AirPods in. They've been able to step up and do the job in an impressive way with an impressive boost to my hearing. Bear in mind the battery life will be nowhere near a size 10 hearing aid battery! I walk home from work down noisy, traffic-filled roads and have found the ANC to be outstanding. The world really does go silent when it's activated, allowing music to be played at lower volumes so as to not damage my hearing any further. Transparency mode is brilliant – conversations are clear and my own voice sounds good in my head. Apple really have a perfectly joined-up experience with these AirPods, seamlessly working between iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. They feel well-built with the usual Apple quality. Battery life is good (turning off ANC or Transparency Mode helps it go further, too). The case is great for keeping them topped-up. The 'Find My' feature is a great addition and is very accurate. I rate these AirPods Pro 2's so highly and regret not buying them sooner!

Wow!!
Well I’ve owned the 1st gen AirPods Pro for nearly 5y. They were quite good overall, but weren’t totally great. Plus for about a year now, they had developed a fault in one ear pod which caused a loud hissing on one side whenever noise cancellation is switched on. The tiny batteries still seemed fine, which is remarkable I think. So I had a couple of gift vouchers from a recent birthday, plus when I saw the AirPods Pro2 were on a Prime day offer I decided to treat myself. Well I expected an incremental improvement but I wasn’t prepared for the massive improvement that this new set brings really!! The sound quality is much better with extended bass and clear bright treble. The battery life is noticeably improved on a single charge (and it was pretty good before). Now at last I can adjust the volume by touching the EarPod (though admittedly it’s still a bit fiddly swiping, there is a knack to it but it works). They seem far more adaptive to the ear canal tip fitting/sealing than before. Even the ear fit test now works with a pass (it very rarely did before). But best of all is the improvement in the noise cancellation. It is nothing less than astonishing. I can now mow the lawn in virtual silence with no need to blast the music so high as to overcome it (they can go very loud though, if that’s you’re thing too, but be careful about hearing damage!). I have several high end pairs of on ear noise cancelling headphones, but the active noise cancellation with these Airpods pro2 is sublime in comparison. It really is in a league of its own. Gobsmacked. I’m not making this up, honestly. I am so glad I took the plunge to upgrade. The engineers have done some seriously good work on this product. They’re not cheap but IMHO they are worth every penny. PS they can double up as pretty remarkable hearing enhancers, if you know how to enable the enhanced transparency modes on the iPhone. It’s in the phone accessibility menu. That’s my only gripe really. The various enhanced settings are not all in one place on the phone. It’s a PITA having to surf various menus to setup the AirPods Pro extended features (it was the same on the previous ones, so nothing lost, I just wish they would overhaul the convoluted menu steps and put everything in one place!). Plus the EQ tone table abomination on the iOS music app is not adequate to bring out the very best that these pods can offer. You ideally need to use a third party music app with a proper graphic equaliser to fully open up the amazing capabilities of these AirPods Pro2. Definitely recommended.

Good sound , quality, elegant Design, unbearable Discomfort
I was eager to try out the new AirPods Pro 2, especially given Apple’s reputation for innovative designs and premium performance. Out of the box, they had that immaculate, high-end aesthetic—a sleek, modern design that immediately captivated my attention. However, my initial excitement soon gave way to a more critical evaluation as I began using them regularly. Sound Quality: The audio delivered by these earbuds is good, characterized by a balanced midrange and punchy bass that makes for an enjoyable listening experience. They handled most genres of music well enough, but the overall performance felt a touch underwhelming for the price tag. Noise Cancellation and Comfort: This is where the AirPods Pro 2 took an unfortunate turn. The active noise cancellation, which is supposed to create an immersive listening environment by effectively silencing background clamor, instead became a source of discomfort. After only about an hour of wear, I began experiencing increasing pressure around my ears—a sensation that quickly evolved into a throbbing headache. I experimented with different ear tips and tried adjusting the fit, but nothing remedied the issue. Instead of gently isolating me from external noise, the cancellation feature felt overly aggressive, turning a potentially calming experience into one that was physically stressful. Final Thoughts: For a flagship product, the disconnect between design intentions and actual user comfort was disappointing. While the sound quality is decent enough for casual enjoyment, the aggressive noise cancellation and its resulting discomfort overshadowed what could have been a solid performance feature. Ultimately, my inability to use the AirPods Pro 2 comfortably for more than an hour led me to return them. This experience leaves me hesitant to recommend these earbuds—especially for anyone planning to use them for extended periods or relying on them for uninterrupted, comfortable listening sessions. In retrospect, the concept behind the AirPods Pro 2 is promising, but in practice, they fall short of delivering on their most crucial promise: sustained comfort combined with high-quality audio performance. If you value all-day wearability and expect a seamless merge of excellent sound with advanced noise cancellation, you might want to explore other options or wait for possible future revisions.

Totally Brilliant
Excellent noise cancelling — much better than the first generation, and to my ears it’s just as good as (if not better than) AirPods Max. Audio quality is very very good, and the ability to control volume from the AirPod stem is welcome and handy! The new skin contact sensor to detect when the AirPods are out of your ears is much better than the old optical sensors from the first generation, and doesn’t get confused if you lay the AirPods on a surface. The USB-C port on the case is welcome, and so is the ability to charge with MagSafe or an Apple Watch charger. The Find My functionality works perfectly (especially with the speaker to play sounds from the case) and the lanyard loop is a nice addition as well. You can also see the battery status of the case and AirPods when the case is closed (even works on iPad). My favourite feature is the new adaptive transparency mode, which is phenomenal in blocking out loud sound to let music / calls / audio through, but still let you be aware of your surroundings. Note that the feature needs iOS / iPadOS 17 or macOS Sonoma. However, if you set the long press gesture to switch between (any mode) and adaptive transparency on a device with a supported OS (such as iOS 17), the AirPods will use adaptive transparency when you toggle to it from the long press to the stem even when paired with an OS that doesn’t officially support it (such as macOS Ventura). At least with the USB-C case version, on macOS Ventura the icon in the menu bar when the AirPods are connected is not of the AirPods Pro, but of generic headphones. You also can’t set adaptive transparency from the menu bar toggle. I don’t use the personalised volume (I want to set the volume myself) or the conversation awareness (I prefer to take the AirPods off when talking). The one weird thing that has happened is that when talking on a call whilst in noise cancelling or adaptive transparency, when I hear my voice it sometimes sounds robotic and somewhat metallic? It’s a bit strange and doesn’t happen too often — could be a firmware issue or that my pair has a problem (inclined to think the former). Overall excellent product, and if you can get them at a discounted price below £200 then go for it! I definitely recommend.

Upgraded from Airpods Pro- Love it!!!
As an avid Apple user and a longtime fan of their audio products, I've had the pleasure of using several generations of their earbuds. Upgrading from my older generation AirPods to the new Apple AirPods Pro 2 has been an absolute revelation. While I was already content with the convenience and sound of my previous pair, the Pro 2s are on a completely different level, offering a premium audio experience that genuinely justifies the upgrade. The most significant and immediately noticeable improvement is the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). The new H2 chip works wonders, and the difference is not subtle. The world around me simply melts away, whether I'm on a busy train, in a noisy office, or just trying to focus at home. It's a noticeable step up from the already decent ANC of the first-generation Pros. The new Adaptive Transparency mode is also brilliant—it lets you hear your surroundings while intelligently dampening harsh, sudden noises, which is perfect for walking down a street or having a quick conversation without fumbling for your phone. The sound quality itself has seen a major bump. The audio is richer, more detailed, and has a wider soundstage. The bass is deeper and more defined without being overpowering, and the mids and highs are crisp and clear. The introduction of Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking creates an immersive, three-dimensional listening experience that makes music, movies, and podcasts feel more alive than ever. It's a feature I didn't know I needed until I had it. The new touch controls on the stem are a welcome addition, allowing me to adjust the volume with a simple swipe, which is a massive quality-of-life improvement over having to reach for my phone. The included USB-C charging case is also a practical and modern update, with a built-in speaker that helps you locate it with the Find My app—a surprisingly useful feature. The improved battery life means I can go longer between charges, and the new XS ear tip option ensures a more secure and comfortable fit for a wider range of users. In conclusion, the Apple AirPods Pro 2 are an outstanding piece of audio technology. For those coming from older generation AirPods or even the first-generation Pros, this is a monumental upgrade. The combination of superior noise cancellation, high-fidelity sound, and a host of smart, user-friendly features makes these a truly exceptional product. They are not just an accessory; they are an essential part of my daily life.

Airpods Are The Default
The title says it all really. AirPods really can do no wrong and the Pro's are perfect in every way. I got these just before the 3rd version came out but I am in no way dissapointed. I could say all the usual stuff you already know, sound quality and noise cancellation are great, look the part etc but you know that if you have had these before. The one thing that can never be beaten is how seamlessly they work with my other Apple products, easy switching, Siri sending/reading messages whilst running etc. I use these as my daily go to and that wont be changing anytime soon!
