These made my cheap violin sing again
Bought them as replacement for old Dominant. I am amazed by how different my violin sounds now. I bought these because they were recommended for amplified instruments and I wanted to experiment with my acoustic violin with pickup in the bridge. I must say that they sound great without amplification too. Much quicker response time, a lot of clarity and volume. They are not very warm but I like a sharper sound for playing jazz. I think I will stick to D'Addario in the future!

Helicore- light tension violin strings.
Have always liked the medium tension Helicore for the bright yet warm sound. Thought I would try various light tension strings. These were a bit pricey but what the heck- all violin strings cost so much these days!! Glad I bought these as the sound is- to my ears- a bit less 'booming' than Super-senstive (Thomastik)- which are otherwise quite similar. Clean sound with good timbre. Would recommend if you are looking for a softer (feel) version of the standard Helicore.

I recommend two sets of these :)
I purchased a set of these and after two weeks of playing the D string snapped in the middle. This meant I had to fork out another £10 for an already pricey set of strings. Despite this disappointment I am going to stick with these strings for now as I love the tone and they really suite my style of playing. They seem to break in reasonably fast around 2/3 days with 45 minutes play a day. It should be standard practice but just make sure you carry a second set with you, even if the ones on your violin are new.

Great strings !
I tried many expensive strings on my Barcus berry pickup violectra , this one by far give beatiful rich sound with the pickup. I was going to give up on using the pickup but these strings got my hope back. Highly recommend and excellent value if compared with the other expensive strings double the price ...

Helicore Striings
I use these on my gigging violin which has a pick up fitted. They are very responsive and give a bright but warm tone. I also use Dominant and Pirastro Tonica strings but these are great, particularly for bluegrass and folk styles but also for classical. If ou have a slightly dull or quiet violin these would probably be ideal.

Good Set of Spares
This is the second set of these strings that I have bought for my daughter as they serve as a good set of spares to have in her case as recommended by her tutor. They are very good quality, have bought cheaper ones in the past but they don't last for a great deal of time so these ones come by higher recommendation

Stringing me along!
Fitted these strings as soon as I received them which was very promptly. They settled in tuning wise very quickly within a week and am now in the process of playing in them in. At the moment they sound rather brighter and a louder sound overall than my older set of strings but time will tell after they are played in.

Used this e string on my older violin and it is one of the best.

Sounds great on my electric 5-string violin. I was afraid it would have a "wet noodle" feeling to it (violinists you probably know what I'm talking about lol) but it doesn't. It sounds clear and clean, quite responsive for a low C. Not sure how long it will last, but so far so good :-)
