I got one for my son who was moving to Ohio and one for my husband to place on his side of the bed and one for me to place on my bedside. My husband chose the color green, I chose pink, and my son is blue. Now my son can tell who specifically is touching the lamp, mom or dad. We touch the lamp several times a day to let each other know we’re thinking of each other. We’ve had them for several months and they have been perfect. No connection issues and no glitching. We also use the app Which you can tap for your color when you are away from home. There’s also an option For the lamp to go dark after a certain Time of the night and then come back on In the morning. I have been exceptionally pleased. I did not have to set up all three devices together. My son took his to Ohio and set it up and my husband and I set ours up in Georgia. We had no issues. The app is really easy to use. You do have to pay for the subscription, but it’s incredibly cheap and I think the year is maybe 20 something dollars. I went ahead and paid for hours and my sons for the year so we don’t have to worry about it. It’s a small price to pay to know that at any time of the day you can let your loved ones know that you’re thinking about them and they can do the same for you. It truly warms my heart to see The lamp change colors.

spent countless hours trying to set this lamp up to my wifi, after receiving it a few days late. the instructions are no help, the help desk is m.i.a. , and the lamp will not stay connected to my wifi even with it sitting right in front of the router. please look elsewhere when buying a friendship lamp, trying to set this up brought out demons i’ve never seen

I bought this as a family Christmas gift, one was for my mother in love, one for my daughter/ granddaughter (in Hawaii) and one for us. It is the most entertaining game when everyone gets to tapping… you can’t resist the urge to tap. Easiest way to send a little bit of love without having to stop what you are in the middle of doing. Easy enough a 2 year old understands!! Previous reviews were a little confusing, there is NOT a subscription required if you are ONLY using the lamps, if you choose to be notified, on a device other than the lamp, and tap or a device other than the lamp, then you must have the subscription plan. I hope that helps someone else that is considering this delightful piece!!

I bought these as Christmas gifts. They had been working great without a subscription until a few weeks ago. Now my father's friendship lamp continuously flashes and changes color not allowing for sync with the network and other lamps.Its so very disappointing. We loved it. We both have reached out to the help without any response other than an auto reply. Its junk unless you agree to pay the $40 annual subscription.

I gave 2 away for Christmas, and they have been absolutely wonderful to keep in touch without having to send a text or call. I smile every time I see it light up, and it was incredibly easy to set up!

Bought this for my mom as a gift and it arrived scratched and has loose pieces inside. I looked passed that and took the worse looking one to my home so we could touch it to show my mom I was thinking of her. To my surprise, the piece of junk won’t let me do anything. The app says it’s connected but the website to connect to another lamp is awful and will not allow me to do anything. Do not buy this horribly made piece of garbage. I will be returning this item.

The media could not be loaded.  Bought 3 sets of 2 so that I can communicate with my nieces(4, 7, & 13) back in OH since I now live in San Diego. The reason I ended up with a total of 3 lamps for myself is because I wanted to be able to communicate with them individually and the remote touch only works in a group setting and when all the lamps are in the same group the lamp will change for everyone to their color. Now it's a bit excessive having three lamps but that's what it has to be for me. The only major issue that I'm encountering is that the main lamp for each set is buffering about 2-3 times a day for hours on end and while it's buffering or updating. You can't tap your lap or notice when the person with the other lamp has touched their because it just turn off when it's finally done. 2 of my lamps have been continuously cycling through colors for the last 6 hours. This was a great idea and my nieces loved it and were excited aboutthem (when i was leaving Ohio my youngest neice told me she'll tap her lap when she misses me she understood the purpose right away after only being told once) but when it only works half the time is it worth it. (As a side note everyone has their own color so each lamp should only light up with 2 colors)

Purchased these for myself and daughters. We live in different states and we have so much fun lighting our lamps up. this lets us all know we are thinking of them. individualize your color so you know who is lighting the lamp :)
