The below is my own real-world experience of using it.My husband is a professional videographer, and was in need of a light, so I decided to pick this up. I had quite a bit of fun playing around with it first.The device is quite light and compact - it would be very easy to pop in a camera/equipment bag. The included strap makes it easier to carry, though I wish it had been adjustable (it’s a fixed length). Printed on the body is a unique design, which is interesting to look at.As for the performance, I was surprised by how many features and settings this little device has. You can select between a fixed white light (which you can then control the brightness and temperature of - measured in Kelvins), many different colour settings, and flashing effects (for example; fire flicker, ambulance, police car etc.).The brightness is excellent, though, it can get a little bit too much for the eyes, so care should be taken when using it. The included soft box does help to diffuse it, but it’s still plenty bright. The flashing effects are equally as intense.Recharging the unit is straightforward due to the included USB C cable. The battery itself held up fairly well whilst I was putting it through its paces.The cold shoe mount is handy, and I did like the fact that this can be used with the device being positioned either horizontally or vertically.I could only really notice one drawback with the small LCD screen - after a while of use, the display would glitch and start displaying solid block lines, or the text would become all mixed up/disappear. This could be frustrating if you require a particular setting. Switching the unit on and off seemed to resolve it.Otherwise, a good value item.

Using this for product photography and food photography. Light is built well great features especially using the k number setting so I can easily set my camera on the same k number for white balance. Great different settings on the light aswell. Definitely bright enough. Not that heavy so it is a nice portable light.

Pretty poor quality, the small rear screen shows garbled information, with the top third being taken up with scrambled pixels about 50% of the time, you can still use it, but some of the information (especially in 'EFF' mode) is pushed - downwards - off the screen and can't be read.The screen will also go dim sometimes (even with the battery fully charged), you can just about read it if you cup your hand over the screen, switching it off and on again to get it back to full brightness can help here.Sometimes when you switch the light off (to the OFF position on the dial) the rear screen remains on, with a section of the screen showing scrambled pixels. Again, a few on and off moves can get rid of this, but you do need to check, you can't just switch it off and throw it into your bag, you need to check on the little screen that it really has switched off.By far the worst issue is that the values on the dials leap around or gets stuck on one value and won't change, so if you want to - for example - change the HUE setting it might take 10 or 12 turns just to get it to change from 160° to 165°, then suddenly it will leap to 240° on the next turn . . . this is makes setting the hue very frustrating, if you wanted to set it to 65°, it can take numerous turns to change from 90° to 70, then suddenly leap to 35° ! What makes it worse is that counterclockwise and clockwise movements don't appear to be the same, clockwise adjustments are far far slower.And by the way, the knurled dials on the top of the light are actually plastic rather than metal, which is not an issue in itself, just that I've seen some reviews say they are metal, they're not.Overall, looks nice, nice and bright, but super glitchy and annoying to use, lots of switching things on and off and on and off again to get it to work, to then have to spend a minute trying to set the right hue, via a screen where half the information is below the bottom of the screen.

Feels like good quality

The media could not be loaded. Fantastic design, compact, and comes with accessories that make it even more versatile. It packs out a lot of light, that’s evenly spread. The colours are fun and useful; I can’t imagine I will use them from just one light, but they are good to have for small product videos.I was more impressed with this than I thought I would be, and the quality is fantastic.The toggles are a little hard to understand at first, but once you work them out they actually give you a lot of range.There are screw threads on both sides for landscape and portrait orientation fixing to your camera cage or a tripod.Overall, an impressive little light!

The media could not be loaded. The controls on this RGB light are so straightforward and intuitive to operate, using the two wheels on top and one button on the back. The integration of all three controls make it easy to set and adjust the CCT and HSI settings and select any of the 21 light effects. Forget pressing tiny little buttons and scroll instead! When turned up to the max, the colours are rich and bright. It’s a rugged piece of kit, has two ¼ inch thread holes, allowing it to be mounted in the horizontal or vertical position on my tripod. Given it’s relatively small size, the battery capacity is massive. A USB-C cable, silicone diffuser, cold shoe mount and lanyard are included.
