This backpack is beautiful, in a classic design, made of 100% cotton canvas with real leather trim, and there's quite a bit of leather trim.The straps are padded for comfort, adjustable, and easy to fit for yourself. The hardware, which is beautiful, is recycled nickel-free hardware and vegetable-based dyes and looks as if it might last forever. I love how nicely this is made, with excellent seams, great fabric, and so many pockets.I love the colors of this classic backpack, and the leather is gorgeous. The pack has a drawstring closure with a leather flap over that and stays securely closed. It has a gorgeous rustic, outdoorsy look about it and would be a wonderful gift for anyone, male or female.There's a padded laptop compartment, a key ring, three button pockets, one zipper pocket, two slip pockets, and two pen or pencil slots. I didn't even know if older high school students and college students knew what pencils are any more, but this is evidence that they probably do.I love this luxurious, well made, excellently crafted backpack and would bet good money this will last a long, long time with proper care. It's a perfect unisex backpack, but I know one of my sons would enjoy this and get lots more use from a backpack than I would, so into the Christmas 2024 box it goes.I can't think of any changes I'd want to make to this backpack if I could, and I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a good, heavy-duty backpack for any reason. It would make a wonderful gift for anyone, male or female, and this would make the perfect gift for yourself. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rugged, handsome, well made *by T***R on Reviewed in the United States on 18 October 2023* This backpack is so rugged looking and handsome. I love the camel-colored cotton canvas, which is thick, durable and a great neutral color. The genuine leather trim is in a contrasting deep brown color with off-white top stitching and antique brass buckles. You can tell by looking that the trim it is real leather. All these elements look great together and really give this backpack a casual, rugged, handsome overall look. It looks very stylish but also like you're not really trying to be stylish.In addition to looking great, this backpack is packed with bells and whistles that make it incredibly functional, including plenty of pockets and a padded laptop compartment. The pockets have leather flaps that buckle securely. There are zippered pockets and pen/pencil slots inside the main comaprtment, and a drawstring to cinch the main compartment closed (of course it has a buckled leather flap over it as well). and the shoulder straps are adjustable in length. If you carry lots of heavier textbooks or other equipment, say heavier pieces of photography equpment, you might wish it had padded straps, but for my husband's purpose (light travel) it works wonderfully.My husband is an older guy and isn't one to carry a "bag," but he happily takes this backpack on road trips and plane trips. He will eventually take it camping but wants it to get a bit of patina on it first. Right now it looks so pristine and gorgeous that he's not ready to take it out in the woods where there is mud, sticker burrs and smoky campfires. I will definitely be stealing this from my husband from time to time because it is so gorgeous that I want to use it, too.Overall, this is a beautifully made, high quality piece of luggage that is also quite fuctional. It would make an impressive, thoughtful gift or a nice little treat/reward for yourself.
