Great kit for making your own pouchies
This kit is fantastic for making your own fruit/vegetable pouches or even yogurt. The the baby feeding spoon and toddler mouth piece are great for your growing baby. The pouch filler is amazing. I used this kit for a very long time with both my kids.

Just what I was looking for!
We already own (and love) the Kiinde Twist system for pumping and feeding breast milk, so I was excited to see them release the Foodii system, which uses the same pouches to prepare, store, and feed pureed foods! The system is very easy to use, and pretty self-explanatory. Here are some notes I had about the process.PREPARATIONLabel the pouch with the date and contents before filling. (It's much harder to do once full!) I can't stress this enough. You think you'll be able to tell the difference between the green beans and the peas, but once they're frozen, forget it.Keep as much air out of the pouch as possible when attaching it to the Squeeze Snack Filler jar. Fill about halfway, then carefully remove the pouch and tap it gently on the counter to settle the contents and remove any air bubbles before adding more food.Remove as much air as possible from the pouch, then screw the lid on tightly. (They have a tendency to gap if not perfectly threaded.) Toss in the fridge or freezer for storage.FEEDINGSqueeze Spoons - The spoon pops onto the pouch rather than screwing on (very similar to the nipples, if you've used the Kiinde bottles). It's made of flexible silicone with a nipple-like feel, and it has a smaller opening than the spout. This would make a very smooth transition for babies who are just being introduced to solid foods.Snack Spouts - The spouts screw securely onto the pouches, and the lids screw onto the spouts, making a convenient, portable package. This is the perfect feeding option for an older baby or toddler. Our son can hold the pouch and happily feed himself without assistance. The plastic pouches collapse easily while feeding, but they don't hold their shape like the pre-packaged snack pouches you buy in stores. So if your child takes his or her mouth off the spout, air can (and will) get into the pouch. It hasn't caused a problem for our son, but it's something to be aware of.OTHER THOUGHTSThe pouches are a little on the spendy side, but I've found them durable enough to be washed and re-used a few times before recycling. You can also easily cap a half-finished pouch and save it for later. Also note that the Twist and Foodii pouches are absolutely identical, so buy whichever one you find on sale.If you freeze in batches, you may want to pull a few bags at a time into the fridge to thaw. We have the Kozii bottle warmer, which is nice, but it still takes about 15 minutes to fully thaw a pouch of frozen food. The Kiinde bottle shells are a fantastic addition to this system. They prevent messes by keeping our son from squeezing the pouches too hard. We also have the Keeper rack, which is convenient for storing pouches of food in the freezer.I appreciate Kiinde hitting such a low price point on this kit, but I wish they also offered a "premium" Foodii kit that included the storage rack and a couple of bottle shells, since not everyone who wishes to use the Foodii system will already own the Twist system.SUMMARYThe Kiinde Foodii system is a truly fantastic tool for making squeeze pouches of food for your baby or toddler. This inexpensive starter kit is an especially great companion to the Kiinde Twist bottle system, but comes with enough components to be used independently. We love it!

Amazing for independent babies!!
My daughter hates being spoon fed so this system was great I went from using the pouchs for milk to purees and it has been a life saver!! It fits about 4oz comfortably but up to 6oz for storage space. Since I already had bags left from bottles this has saved me tons of money on expensive apple sauce pouches and honestly a lot more portable I keep a couple pouches and spouts in my bag and can put her favorite purees in.

Helpful if you're determined to make your own food and want some flexibility when you're out of the house.
I already use the Kiinde breastmilk storage bags, and I have so many left, I thought this would be a wonderful transition. The squeeze bottle is useful, though not what I expected. It's just a big, soft cup with a spout on the end, and you could probably buy a small funnel and get similar results, using the Kiinde storage bags.Pros:1. The various top attachments for the bags are great: you can toss a bag in the diaper bag with the spoon or spout attachment (which both come with lids) so you can feed your little one on the go. This is a big plus for me because I'm trying to make all his food, and having pouches makes this doable when he needs to eat and we're not at home.2. Dishwasher safe (top rack) for the tops and squeeze bottle, which saves me precious time.3. Squeeze bottle is very big and can serve as additional storage. When I make a big batch of something, I will fill 3-4 bags with it (enough for snacks on the go during the week), and leave the rest in the squeeze bottle. Then, I can pour2-3 ounces in a bowl at meal times, saving the bags (and the waste) for when I need them on the go.4. This can save you money, if you are deciding between buying pre-made baby food or making your own. An average pouch of organic baby food (with the Amazon subscribe and save discount) is $1.18 per pouch. A Kiinde pouch is 32 cents per ouch (if you buy the 80 pack). We buy organic produce and can typically make a pouch of food (3-4 ounces) for an average of 75 cents, which makes a homemade Kiinde organic pouch about 10 cents cheaper. Not a huge amount, but it certainly adds up, considering we go through 2-3 pouches a day, and continue to ramp up It's important to me to know what goes into my baby's food, but we could not afford to do it if it weren't cost effective, and this seems to be cost effective. It's a win win for us!5. The storage bags are freezable, so you can freeze your extra food and pack away. The thin bags are easy to stack and store and don't take up too much room in the freezer.Cons:1. Squeeze bottle is not particularly special, and you could probably get the same use out of a funnel, and any tupperware with a lid.2. The bags are, as said in other reviews, quite wasteful. This is why I only use them when we are out and about. They are a lifesaver when you need food on the go and don't want to buy the ready-made squeeze packets.3. The spoon attachment is something I've been told NOT to use when training my son how to eat. In a class I took about preparing baby food, the teacher said that the spoons with squeeze features do a disservice for infants, who need to learn how to dip a spoon into food. I don't use the spoon, but do use the spout attachment.4 The spout attachment has a bigger opening than the pre-made, store-bought pouches. The result is my son, who is only 9 months and still getting the hang of eating solids from pouches, often makes a big mess! He does better with the store-bought packets, but is learning how to use this one. It's all a work in progress, right?!We use these for the convenience it provides when we're out of the house. When we're home, we opt for the ol' bowl and spoon routine (we use silicon ice cube trays to store most of our baby food0, and only use the kiinde bags a few times a week. Still, those few times a week make a huge difference for us!

Compatible with all Kiinde products!
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this brand! Everything is easily compatible. I started with the pouches and put my breastmilk in them now that my baby is eating. I bought the food starter kit and can use the same bags. You can buy 6 ounce or eight which is perfect for on the go I have never had issues with leaking and cleaning is a breeze. It’s as easy as making a smoothie and pouring it into the bags. The attachments are great you can you spoon or a regular pouch top.

Love these pouches.
Great for blended meals, smoothies or Breast milk. I warm them up in the breast milk bottle warmer. Once the food is a little warm I take the cap off so the food at the top can go down (put cap back on) and warm up evenly. I always take one or two out of the freezer (put in fridge) the night before or early morning and leave on the counter to thaw. My little boy loves them.pouches NOT REUSABLE!I bought the kit first to try it out. It comes with a cup for easy filling the pouches. 2 spouts and a spoon attachment.
