Old fashioned design that still works for my RV drawers!
After trying magnets and other things to stop my RV drawers from opening when I drove, I bought a set of these. They were easy to install, and they solve my problem!

excellent
i was able to install 6 of these latches on my bottom kitchen cabinets (without a drill) in under 15mins total. these work great, our daughter tugs as hard as she can and can't budge them open. it's a tad tight squeezing a finger in when trying to push the latch down but we don't have huge hands and can manage without a problem. but i think it would be impossible for someone with thick fingers. but it could also depend on each particular cabinet or drawer clearances.i would definitely buy these again when she gets taller and can open the drawers. i chose these because it only requires one piece to install versus other one's i looked at that were a 2 piece design (one installs on the inside and one on the cabinet or drawer). and they're very cheap at under $6 for 4 latches.

Decent, but only comes with 2 screws per latch!
By design (or cost-saving?) these only come with 2 screws per latch, when really you want 4 to securely fasten these to your cabinet doors. There is provision for 4 screws (4 holes/slots), but there are only enough screws in the packaging for 2 screws per latch. At first I thought I was just missing some hardware, but even the instructions say to only use 2 screws. So to do the job right, you'll have to find or buy more screws (and you need the right size or else you may poke through the face of your beautiful cabinetry!). I knocked off a star for the missing screws, and I'm also knocking off a star for not having a defeat feature (to disable the lock once your kids get older) like competing products like the Kidco latches have. Also, while these have worked fine in my framed (vs. frameless) cabinets, you will likely not be able to use these with drawers without some modification. For my drawers, I had to buy 1/2" plywood (and longer screws) to create a shim or spacer that allowed me to mount the latch at the proper height (otherwise you can only use the 2 bottom screw holes which is a very weak mounting configuration since the latch arm is aligned with the top screw holes--any moderate pulling force by a child would rip the 2 bottom screws out, as mentioned in reviews of other similar latch designs).

love them
Just put these on earlier in the week and so far love them. With our first two children I had been using the typical kind that have two pieces to install; the hook and the bar thing for the latch to grab onto. While these were effective, i always hated installing them because you had three screws to put in, but more particularly I couldn't always get them lined up right so sometimes the hook wouldn't end up catching very well. Anyway, I wanted to try something new with our third child and new house and these were just what I was hoping to find. So easy to install, didn't even need a drill or electric screw driver, just used my normal manual one i'm a 28 yr old female who hasn't done a lot of handy work) quite easily. Only one piece to put in and it was easy to line it up the way i wanted. The screws were strong and when tested by my pull, could withstand without any give or signs of breaking. The spring is very easy for me to use, and though that may mean that it could be easy for your child also, since my 4 1/2 yr old was able to figure it out pretty quickly, my 3 yr old and infant won't be able to. I am mainly using these for my infant anyway since the older two no longer throw all of my kitchen pans and tupperware on the floor these days. I keep anything dangerous higher up already. But, just know that if you do need something for bigger, smarter kids these probably won't be the ticket. For my purposes I love them and would recommend to any friends for infant/toddler years. I've seen similar ones on amazon made by Kidco, but don't know how they compare to these. Since I like these ones I'd suggest them.

Great latches, but beware.
I bought a bunch of these to cat proof my kitchen cabinets as that was always there favorite playground, always in and out of the drawers, crawling into the lower cabinets, banging pots and pans in the middle of the nite. Just non stop racket from them and I finally had to put a stop to it.These work very well, I didn't use the supplied screws, I used double sided sticky foam squares, works great for just cats, not sure how it would work for kids. The only downside is now my cats are pissed, and I mean really pissed. They sat and watched me install these, not knowing exactly what I was doing. As soon as I finished they went and tested a drawer, no luck getting it open, so they went and tried another, doubling up on it even, still no luck. After about an hour they finally gave up, now they just sit in the middle of the kitchen floor and glare at me when I walk in. Guaranteed these two are plotting some revenge crap on me, just don't know what or when.Wish me luck.

Prevents cats from getting into your drawers--not just toddlers--and it's the best solution for that in most cases
We got ours to cat-proof our drawers. Our cat loves to open drawers and claw out all the clothing he finds in them. It's a cat thing I guess. These stopped him 99% of the time. On occasion he's still been able to get one or two items out but mostly he just gives up (you have to have a small gap so you can push down the latch). The spring loading mechanism is more trustworthy than ones that rely on flexing a piece of plastic. Those always break eventually in my experience. Not this. The one trick is that the latch has to have something to latch onto, namely the piece of wood along the top of the drawer. Usually you do, but if it's smooth there these won't work. If you have a normal cabinet layout these are vastly preferable to any alternative in my experience, and they're really easy to install, even if you insist on predrilling every hole, as I do.
