The Enormous Crocodile

I have loved this book since I was at least 7 years old. I am now 37 and I still enjoy it. It encompasses all the great aspects of a great children's book. It can be read at face value or you can read it as a cautionary tale, and I believe it has valuable lessons to teach. For example: - It warns of the pitfalls of overconfidence and arrogance. - It encourages the basic principles of "stranger danger". - It encourages people of all shapes and sizes (represented as children, hippos, elephants, monkeys etc.) to work together despite their differences. Overall, if this book isn't in your children's library (or your own), I would suggest you purchase it, you won't be disappointed.

A brilliant book for little ones. My children read this over and over with us. We had the whole series as they got older but this is great for little ones

Bought for my 7 year old son who was about to start learning about Roald Dahl at school and wanted to start on a book that wasn’t too long and overwhelming and this was perfect. Also did the job for his summer holiday challenge, photo reading it whilst next to a crocodile!! 🐊

Roald Dahl is a famous British author, most known for childrens stories. This particular short story is a lesser known title but, in my opinion, one of his best. And this particular publication have beautiful colour illustrations. This book will entertain any audience, both through its story and the illustrations

This was for my 8 year old granddaughter. This was the only book she had left to read. She absaloutely loves them

I use it for home tutoring. The colours of the illustrations are bright and attractive and the animal drawings in the book are outstanding. Font size used is comfortable on the eyes.
