8 Cup Cafetiere, 1L French Press, Heat Resistant Borosilicate Glass & Stainless Steel Copper Design, Filter Coffee Maker with Plunger

A cleaner, fresher look versus the old Bodum style.

We recently ordered a coffee grinder and decided we would be using a cafetiere along with it, so I went on the hunt for a nice looking, good quality, large cafetiere that wasnt going to be too expensive. We wanted a glass one as although less likely to damage a metal one I'd read that they can affect the taste of the coffee. This cafetiere ticked all the boxes, and as I'd owned VonShef products before and been impressed I felt it was more likely to be a good product. The cafetiere has so far been just what we had hoped, it's not too thin and also not overly heavy, the gold metalwork really looks lovely while not being overly fussy and difficult to clean. We've pre heated the cafetiere before using it, but the coffee doesn't seem to go cold quickly in it either, which is great if we want to make enough for a second cup. Overall its a lovely cafetiere and we are happy to recommend it.

Great cafetiere, does what it's supposed to do very well. Holds 3 large mugs of coffee. It also looks good, aesthetically modern, and very light, bordering on fragile in my opinion, but tougher than it looks.

Looks great, however, mine arrived with one of the legs shorter than the other two so it was lob sided. However, was able to get it refunded easily and have ordered a replacement so hopefully it will not have the same issue.

Very smart looking cafetiere. You have to turn the lid to the little mesh bit or it won't pour properly, maybe this is the case with all of them, but it's not a big deal. I dispute the fact it's for more than 2 cups, I think its advertised as 8?? No way, unless you're using espresso cups! We fill it to just under the metal bar which makes 2.5 cups, at a push 3. Again no big deal as its for 2 of us, but just to point out, and we use regular mugs.

Lovely item, very smart looking, very striking colours. Holds heat well and holds a good amount of coffee, excellent value for money.

I bought this French press / cafetiere in 2020 and it has lasted well and still functions. I decided to get a replacement as the glass was becoming discoloured and the filter head on the plunger sometimes came loose. It is still useable as a backup though. I decided to buy the same model again in July 2023. This review is about this later purchase. Upon unpacking the product, I soon noticed that the quality isn't the same. The copper-coloured cradle for the glass flask is flimsy and was bent out of shape, causing the whole item not to stand up straight. I had a go at bending it a little to try to correct this and I was able to get it look straighter. However, the cradle didn't grip the flask as well as the first one I purchased (possibly due to me bending/straightening it) so I have had to be careful when washing it that it didn't fall out. Other than the issues mentioned above it has worked well in the two months I've had it. Today however, while washing the flask, the glass broke when it came into fairly light contact with a ceramic mug. Maybe I’ve just been unlucky this time around, but I don't believe the quality of this product is the same as it was, and I will now try another brand.

Arrived in its beautiful box. Didn’t disappoint from its colour and design. Easy to clean as glass is easy to remove from stand. Ideal for the amount cup of coffee to be made. Would recommend.

Bien reçu ( et même plus rapidement qu’indiqué initialement) La cafetière correspond bien à la photo, elle est très jolie. Moi qui était une habitué des cafetières Bodum pendant des années, mon chat a tué ma dernière cafetière par un saut mal réceptionné. Je ne connaissais pas cette marque, le carton de réception était classe et bien emballé. Le piston est moins large que le piston d’une bodum mais bien utilisé cela n’impact pas le goût

Die Presse tut alles was sie tun soll und sieht dabei auch noch gut aus. Die Oberflächen werden schnell fleckig, aber das ist zu erwarten. Das wichtige ist, dass der Filter kein Pulver durchlässt und auch einfach reinigbar ist, dadurch, dass der Filter nur fest geschraubt ist. Dreht man dies leicht auf, kann man sehr einfach alle Pulverreste am Filter entfernen und schon ist er sauber. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Filtra súper bien, buen tamaño y es muy bonita y elegante! Además, llegó antes de lo previsto! La pedí el sábado y el domingo ya la tenía aquí.

La estoy usando ya algunos meses y creo que la calidad de material es muy buena. Acabados en dorado muy bonitos.
