WOWWWWW!! This case is SO BEAUTIFUL. My dad got me the Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas, and I immediately went looking for a case. As soon as I saw this one I knew I wouldn’t find anything more stunning. I ordered it immediately and yes it takes FOREVER to arrive from the UK (I’m in California). It’s been 5 weeks 😱 HOWEVER! I knew that going in from reading reviews so I patiently waited. I also knew from reading reviews that I shouldn’t expect any embossing (it is printed on thick cardboard, like a book) and that it would literally have the feel of a hardcover book. This is also true, and also something I knew already. So if you do read the reviews beforehand you will be (like me) completely wowed when you see this beautiful thing! The personal notes are so sweet as well. The design is so gorgeous, even more pretty in person, and just looks so fricking adorable and petite with my kindle on it! I like that the inside is just as detailed as the outside. And I can tell that the company are constantly improving the design judging from previous pictures and videos - I didn’t have to stick anything to my kindle (previous designs were that way) and it arrived with the holder in place so you just slip your kindle in! It’s a perfect fit. I was nervous to bend the spine back even though they are designed to bend back - but once I did it feels totally fine for the case. Though the case is so pretty I don’t even want to hold it one handed anymore! Love that there is a strong magnet that holds it open too. ALSO- this may sound strange but I swear the case SMELLS like the UK. I lived in Scotland for two years and when I smelled it I got that wonderful nostalgic sensory memory hehe. This case definitely gives you the “real book” vibe that people like me who read on Kindles can sometimes miss. I do think that it won’t be the most durable case out there, so I plan to treat it somewhat delicately. With that said, I don’t mind having a cheapy whatever case that I use for heavy duty travel or beach reading and leave this one for home/gentle use. If you tend to be hard on your electronics, maybe this is not the case for you. But if you want that utterly gorgeous vintage book look, feel and SMELL and you’re prepared to be a little tender with it then it is absolutely worth the money and (very long) wait. LOVE!!
