"Life skills every 12 year old should know", by Hayden Fox, is a good book to gift to the 12 year old in your life. The author is a school teacher with over 10 years of experience. The book emphasizes having a champion mindset of always growing and improving, which is important for tackling the chapters that follow. Chapters cover finding your strengths and weaknesses, personal values, self advocacy, critical thinking, respect, money management, long-term planning, friendships, leadership, and altruism. All of these concepts are age appropriate and illustrated with examples and kindness in this book. This book emphasizes executive functioning skills in an easy to digest and pleasant to read manner.

I like this book because has some really important topics to child support. Each chapter is easy to read with easy vocabulary and not too extensive, perfect for them

This book is a great primer to help a 12-year-old negotiate the rocky road to adulthood. It covers everything from finances to friend-picking. Written with passion and in great detail, it feels like it may be more effective if taught rather than read. Treatises on affirmation, advocation, and altruism seem a bit heady for a 12-year-old, Overall, highly recommended.

I don't know any 12 year old who would enjoy this book. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
