Fits great, works as needed

I have a washing machine and dishwasher plumbed into the same waste pipe, when my dishwasher is off the drain stays in the open position, I bought this to stop my washing machine flooding my kitchen, as when the washing machine discharges it’s water, it back flushes into the dishwasher and overflows. I’ve just tested the unit with my dishwasher only, and although I find the unit well constructed, it leaks from where the white plastics connector goes into the clear plastic body (hence the 4stars), this can be easily remedied by unscrewing the unit and either wrapping PTFE tape around the treaded part, or by giving it a wipe with a silicone mastic. Just tested the unit using my washing machine only, as the water discharged the seal worked perfectly no letting water by or leaks. Didn’t need to carry out a test as to when both washing machine and dishwasher washer are on, as mentioned, my dishwasher drain only stays open when it is turned off. I find that this is by far the best unit available for the problem I needed to solved, even with the leak (which at best is a minor inconvenience to fix). I would buy again and recommend to others.

Funny name but works as a thing.

well build quality , however it leaks from everywhere. You need to use a lot of PTFE tape to make it well sealed. To stop it leaking i had to use full role of PTFE tape and still not 100%. Still drip by drip coming out of the joint which is screwed on the valve. The compression seals shouldn't leak , they should tide the pipe 100 % water tide but they don't. Lots of PTFE tape works. It could be better quality and not let the water coming out the tread.

Excellent product. Fitted this to a cellar sump pump with a 2m lift and works like a dream. The clear side make it so easy to check for blockages.

All good fit perfectly and done the job.

Excellent bit of kit to stop dirty water from sink trap running back in to washing machine. Good price too!

Internally fell apart on first use and hen proceededto leak. unfortunately had to seal with silicone to stop water leak making it impossible to return.
