Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller + Wireless Adapter for Windows 10

Works great! Unboxing to playing took me 2 minutes. Other people have reported problems using this controller with Windows 10 and Steam. I had no problems, using the supplied USB dongle. It just worked. The dongle even comes with a USB extension cord, if you need an extension or if you think the dongle installed into your computer could be too fragile a setup. Controller feels good and sturdy. Steam recognized it immediately. If I left the controller alone for a while, it powers down to save batteries (just tap the XBox logo on the controller to wake it), and Steam would automatically revert to the default setup (keyboard/mouse). When I wake the controller, Steam immediately switches back to using it. Summary: I couldn't imagine this being any easier to set up and use.

I have a gaming PC hooked up to my TV for relaxing gaming (ie I'd rather using a wireless controller for convenience vs using a wired gaming mouse to get better performance). This lets me using the ubiquitous Xbox one controller wirelessly with my various games. Thus I can play Madden, Forza, FAr Cry etc... like I'm on a console, but with a 1080TI. Anyway, it's plug and play, and it works with any Xbox One controller. The dongle is much more compact that what they used to use, and performance is solid.Supposedly this won't work on WIndows 8 or 7. I cannot verify, but it works great on Windows 10 Pro.

I've been needing a controller to play some games on PC and this is probably the best controller for the money that you can get for PC. I've been playing video games all my life so I've listed a couple of the things that I've noticed leave an impact on gamers.Pros:-Long lasting charge (I've been playing for 3 days at around 4-5 hours/day and it hasn't died yet)-Very ergonomic & comfortable in your hand, much more so than Playstation controllers-Very smooth analog sticks and triggers, much smoother than the Playstation's analogs and triggers-Buttons aren't too sticky like old generations-Buttons are all tactile and register nice clicks on presses-Perfectly compatible with Windows 10 & Steam so setup and configurability was a breeze-Controller is textured, so your hands get a good grip on the controller-The way the batteries are removable on these controller is nice because you can swap rechargeable battery packs instead of having to plug in your controller. This is a big plus over the Playstation controllers I think.Cons:-Takes AA batteries, but you can put battery packs in the controller instead of batteries and just use rechargeable battery packs. IMO the controller should have battery packs instead of AA batteries, but battery packs can be bought off Amazon for ~$20 so it's not a big deal, and they let you charge one battery while you play using the other battery and just swap them.ConclusionQuality controller that has a better battery design, ergonomics, and controls than most of the competition and is easily compatible with PC's. It's a win in my book.

still not working after all these year no problems , except for R3 and L3 they might disfunction

This is the best controller I've ever used, and that's saying something. The design is perfect--the shape feels good and lets me get at everything quickly. Buttons are positioned just right, and the dome tops make presses as fast as I need. With an included bluetooth stick it does great on batteries, the only catch is I use it on both a desktop and laptop for PC games so I have to re-pair it every time I switch. Kind of a pain on win10, but I've gotten used to it. I've had it a few months now, and so far its durability has been great.I've had only one problem with it: the USB port. I started using it wired a few days ago, and it was fine until it slid off my chair onto my chair pad (it's on carpet). It hit on the cord connection to the port. Now, because the port wasn't seated in the controller with proper reinforcement, it doesn't hold cords securely and they slip out enough to kill the connection. I'll continue to use the wireless setup, but that's something they should fix, it didn't land hard.

Honestly, this is my favorite controller of all time. Before this controller it was definitely the Xbox 360 controller due to the ergonomics of the controller, that felt so good in the hand and on the wrists. I really hate the way the thumbsticks feel on the PlayStation controller so I have always steered away from using those controllers. The plug-and-play aspect and the fact that you can hook up multiple controllers and have a sit-down with your family, on a couch, with split screen, is honestly so cool. Also fun fact is if your PC has Bluetooth, hold the little button on the top, and look for "Xbox Controller Input" in the Bluetooth settings. I lost my little dongle piece and it will still connect to my gaming PC wirelessly. The plastic has a nice grippy feels with these Tony little bumps where your fingers grab. The thumbsticks have a very nice grip that has a really nice texture to keep the thumbs from slipping. Very well built, sturdy, controller that will last

I was really pleased to see that this is indeed the genuine Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller, along with the newer version of the wireless adapter for Windows 10.Some of my VR and Steam games require a controller to work correctly, so that one works perfectly for this purpose. The wireless dongle wasn't recognized right away by Windows though. So if that happens to you, just navigate to your "device manager" (right click on windows icon that you have on the bottom left of your PC), find the line where you have a device error (yellow exclamation mark) and then click on it and install the driver. After that step, everything worked just fine.This set comes also with a set of 2 AA batteries, so you have everything you need right there to get started.

This is a must buy for everyone. Good ergonomics, good battery, good price.
