I am using this bottle for the first time today at work. I wanted a metal water bottle and insulated because I'm not a fan of ice and I don't want a bunch of condensation. I poured cold water from my fridge in it this morning with a couple squirts of lemon juice. It's been 5 hours and the water, without ice in it, is still as cold as it was when I took it out of the fridge. There has been no condensation nor does the bottle even feel cold on the outside. I like the handle on the lid for easy carrying and the neat little bag that comes with it is great for that, too. I ordered the solid red 40 oz bottle. I had to use a long handled sponge to get down to the bottom to wash it. I'll have to see if I can find one with a longer handle because mine barely reaches the bottom. Update 5 months later: I still love this bottle. It travels with me to work every day and there is not a scratch on it. I haven't dropped it and not in the habit of banging it against anything either. It keeps my water ice cold for the entire work day and beyond. I sometimes use it at night at home and the water is still ice cold in the morning. I highly recommend the flip and sip stein lid. I like that much better than the lid that came with the bottle. Both bottle and lid are easy to clean. I only put water with some lemon juice in mine. I handwash with soapy hot water (bought a long handled silicon brush just for the bottle) and let air dry. I haven't seen any rust in the bottle. I also haven't had any issues with mold anywhere on the lid. This has really helped me increase my daily water intake. Update 7/15/21: I dropped my 40 oz bottle onto the concrete garage floor and it wrinkled the metal in such a way to create a sharp edge. So I ordered a new bottle. I was sad to see the 40 oz size wasn’t available but the 32 oz does fine and I love the hombre coloring.

I bought this bottle 5 years ago and it is still going strong. I have quite literally traveled the world with this and it has never let me down. I typically fill it with ice in the morning and add water. It will withstand 2 full refills of water in very hot environments (think Egypt and Rome in the summer during a heat wave) and still have a little bit of ice left in the bottle after the second refill cools. What is that... at least 100oz of cold water per day without adding more ice? My last "insulated" bottles couldn't come close to competing. The cap is great if you want to hook it to your pack as that solid plastic isn't going to break like so many other flimsy caps do. My only nitpick issues: While the bottle never sweats, the neck around the cap does. If it's hot outside and you fill it to the top with ice water, the cap sometimes gets stuck so leave a little room when filling (not the bottles fault, but a testament to it's high level of insulation). Finally, it would be nice if they made a slip on rubber base to keep it steady and reduce the risk of breaking the glass on top hotel night stands when setting that big heavy bottle down.

I gave this bottle 3 weeks, the first time used it had a smell. After each day i wash it however after a few hours of having water in it when i open to take a drink it smells like mechanic shop. I felt after a few washes it would go away but its weeks and the smell still comes back. I think the metal is leaching something into the water. Today is the last day i will be using it. I bought it based on the description and how it seemed like the healthy option but the smell says otherwise. I would ask for a refund but first thing I did was put all my cool stickers on it. Also noticed after washing it i stand it upside down so it dries and the water beads up and stays on the walls of the bottle. On the picture you can see a hydroflask both washed at the same time and stood upside for 1 day and the Healthy Human bottle still has water beads on the walls.

I have at least 6 same size (40 oz) bottles because I rink from them all day long. All of them are similar to this but different brands. I must say that the build of this one is quite different from all others in that this isn't just an insulated bottle but works like a thermos! So it keeps liquids cold way longer than any of the other insulated metal bottles I have. I also like the slightly smaller opening--easier to drink from it. I don't use the feature with the clip that allows one to attach the bottle to hiking gear since I use it in my office at home and not on hikes. So I have not tested that feature and just took the clip off. It is lovely and of all the other bottles I have, I think this is the first one that is worth the money I paid for it.
