A very good cheese slice
A very good cheese slice - good slicing angle on the blade and very easy to clean. I have subsequently bought more as gifts. Recommended.

Replaced a 2011 Relic. The Cheese Has Never Looked Back
Let’s get one thing straight: I didn’t mean to start drama in the kitchen. But when you’ve been slicing with a tired old Kitchen Craft Master Class from 2011 — bless its loyal little soul — and then I arrive? Yeah. Things change. Fast. I’m solid. Stainless. Razor-sharp without being flashy. No weird wire to snap. No flexing under pressure. No mood swings. I just turn fridge-cold cheddar into red carpet ready slices like it’s nothing. The old slicer gave you a good run. Ten years of service. But let’s be honest — it had one foot in the utensil grave. I’m the upgrade your cheese (and your dignity) deserved. No kitchen should be without a proper cheese slicer. And no cheese slicer should leave you hacking through a block like you’re digging for fossils. I’ve replaced expensive knives, fancy tools, and a decade of misplaced loyalty. Worth every penny. And I’m not even sorry. #Goodbye2011 🧀👋 #HelloPrecision #KitchenTakeover

Feels great in the hand, just works
A cheese slicer like this is most useful for Dutch cheese like Gouda, Edam, Maasdam etc. it works far less on crumbly British cheeses such as Leicester and Cheddar, and not at all on soft cheeses such as Camembert. For when you have a wheel of Komijnenkaas or Jong Belegen though, or anything like that, this tool is a wonder. It has a satisfying feel in the hand, a nice weight to it, and it just works. Every time.

Spare a thought for your cheese
Nice grip, good blade, slices beautifully. My only gripe is that these type of cutters are not suited to solid British cheddar. They really are designed for soft Scandinavian varieties and this one is perfect for just that job.

Studry and quality cheese slicer
This cheese slicer feels sturdy in the hand, and is very well balanced. The handle is strong and durable, and the head is sharp and slices cheese at a very good thickness. You can also use this to slice other things, like vegetables, though the width of the blade lends itself more to cheeses, particularly medium soft cheeses. Norwegian cheeses particularly fit into this category (as it was made with them in mind), some of which you can get at supermarkets in the UK (e.g. Tine brown cheese, or Jarlsberg). You might find that most British hard cheeses (e.g. cheddar, red Leicester, etc.) will crumble when sliced with this. Overall a great tool, and good to have in the kitchen!

I make a lot of smoked cheese--18 pounds at a time, several times a year. I cut 1-pound blocks of cheese into 1-ounce pieces. I tried a couple of wire slicers, & if the wire didn't break, it got slack in it to the point where it was useless. This knife is so simple, it's genius! I just wipe it down beforehand with a little olive oil to help keep the cheese from sticking. Repeat as necessary. It's not so sharp that I have to worry about cutting myself, & it does a brilliant job on cheese!

Absolutely happy with this purchase!! The knives all have a nice weight to them. They are also very sturdy. We are very pleased with this purchase and hope they last many years to come.

perfekt für weichen Käse kann man nur empfehlen

The knife is made of ONE piece of metal. I used it to help hack away at a 22+ pound of Parmesan. It was great. The handle could of been a little bit broader and would have been easier to hold. But hey, everyone isn't going to use it to hack away at a mega chunk of Parm! For smaller jobs it would have been ideal.

Cuchillos iguales a la imagen. Cortan muy bien los quesos y el mango es muy ergonómico.
