Works very well, once it is burning the wood gets lots of air and it incinerates everything. No significant smoke, very pleasant to sit by and stare at flames.

The quality of this firepit is very good for the price point. No firepit is completly smokeless, but with a hot enough fire, this one is very close. The ash tray has experienced some warping. I had small fires for the first few burns to try to temper the ash tray. The warping has not increased after several hot fires, and the tray is still easily removed.

I ordered the smokeless 20” pit and the heat shield. We had our first burn in it and once the fire is going it really is smokeless. Needless to say it was a hit. The heat deflector is a must have and pushes the heat out very well. It’s very therapeutic to watch the smoke burn off. It’s also cost a fraction as the name brand pits but does the same thing. Only con is the wood you put in it will need to be cut into smaller chunk size piece. For full length wood(18”) id look into a bigger unit. But I had some pine I cut down into 12” chunks and it burned very clean. Also very light weight, portable and easy to remove the ashes.

Definitely tell it a knockoff but the price was right. My only complaint, the inside base piece is designed to be removed for cleaning. It’s too big and is captive, makes for a tricky cleaning experience but not the end of the world.

We are seasonal campers and wanted to get a smokeless fire pit. Didn't want to spend $400, so we "settled" for HGD 28 inch. Great choice and works just as well as the pricier brand. Yes, a neighbor at camp has one so I could compare. This is a great product and we are look forward to many seasons ahead for campfires!

Minimal to no smoke burn’s through wood like no joke.

Pretty disappointed with how this turned out. It discolored greatly after the first use. Looks horrible now. Have yet to see the “second burn” at the top. Works like a normal fire pit. Definitely not smokeless. If you don’t care what your fire pit looks like then by all means buy this one. Otherwise spend the money and buy the Solo Stove. UPDATE: after posting my review the company reached out to me inquiring how to “make things right” which I definitely do appreciate. They offered and provided an $80 refund due to the issues I experienced. While I greatly appreciate the gesture, it still doesn’t change the fact that the product discolored greatly after the first use. I am still stuck with a fire pit that looks very old and heavily used. While most would say who cares it’s just a fire pit, I bought this one due to the stainless steel appearance and modern design. Like I said in my original review above, it works as a fire pit.
