I looked at a lot of options. I love this style because I have really small ankles and these are pretty sleek and not too cumbersome. I've added these to my walking routine though now I'm reading that it's not good to walk or run in them. I will also use them for my wrists and some floor excercises. They stay put during brisk walks and light runs. I also like the look of them vs other bulky options.

Works perfectly in the pool.

The two ankle weights came with a small plastic zipper pouch for storage. You are going to need those pouch to put the extra weights in. The unit consists of 8 sticks metal sticks that are coated in a rubber. One of these appear to be a pure rubber piece that weigh 0.79 oz. The four others I removed weighed between 2.18 oz and 2.20 oz. And the last three, which is permanently attached as the strap is stitched weigh in, with the strap, at 7.26 oz.. If you take the 0.79 oz and add it to the 3 permanant ones, you get 8.05oz. When you add all 8 sticks, you get 16.75 oz. If you take the 0.79 oz from this, you get 15.96 oz. So you can't get the 2lbs exactly but it's quite close. The 0.79 oz the last one I could pull out. But I had to pull all 5 out to figure one of them weighed very little. In terms of the band, it has a nice stretch. But I can see how this will attract sweat. And I think you really need to be able to take all the metal bars and toss the strap into a washing machine. And with 3 metal bars permanently in place, I think this strap is going to stink. Suggestion to the seller The velcro seems OK. When I wiggle my ankle/wrist, the velcro starts to slip off. I would like to see them stitch a piece of cloth for the last 2 inches. I think that will make the velcro stay better as it's not stretching. If you can also allow all the metal bars to come out, that would be better. The light bar (0.79oz) feels like just rubber. So why not just stretch that in so it could at least be machine washed? I plan to use these a lot. And I am afraid it's going to stink not long even after I hand wash them.

Try putting these your wrist or ankle, then slide the bars to make it comfortable. Pros: - Sliding bars allow for fast, easy adjustment around ankle and wrist bones while you're wearing them - More comfortable than my brand name bangle weights that don't have sliding bars - Fits well on my small wrists and ankles - Comfortable enough for me to wear for 1+ hour walks Cons: -Bars can slide off the end of strap, but I was able to easily slide it back on. When I take them off, I slide the bars to the far end of the strap to avoid this.

I like the overall design and color of this weight set. I like that it uses velcro and a stretchy band. I like that most of the weights can be removed and that it is somewhat adjustable. I don't that not all the weights can be removed - makes washing the band efficiently very difficult. I don't like how small the bands are. My wrists are 9" circumference and my ankles are 9.5" circumference. These weights are way too small for me- they barely stay on my ankles. And because the bands are so small, so much of the scratchy velcro is exposed and rubs against my skin while wearing. I don't like the skin irritation that causes. I won't be wearing these much since they cause so much skin pain. I would expect blisters and sores if I wear them very long.
