Whelp... It broke after 40 days... right after warranty expires
We bought it, and it worked for 40 days... but then it failed. 10 days after the return window passed... Ugh. But, have to give credit where credit is due. It did work until the warranty expired! That is GREAT craftmanship! It does some things great - It pops popcorn fast and well. But, you need to hold it because the base will spin... and it will shoot popcorn all over the place, so hold the bowl up.But this is a cheap piece of junk. It will fail...

Popcorn is Delicious Again!!
I got one of those microwave bowls years ago and hated them.I finally decided I’m not using that thing anymore and bought this! Finally tried it the other day with just a palm full of corn and my small bowl overflowed!Every kernel popped but one! And, the popcorn was so fluffy and delicious!! No butter or salt!!Thank you!!!

It depends on the kernal...
I've seen some reviews that indicate that half the kernals did not pop, well I too have the same issue. I wondered if Orville's kernals are the cause of so many not popping. I ordered a 10 pack variety set of Amish country popcorn. I tried the purple popcorn and wow 95% of the popcorn popped! The fact that my first try of the Amish popcorn was a success, it is not the air popper issue but the corn kernal is the issue.

Always, always read the 1 star reviews on Amazon now. You'll get a better picture.
As soon as I opened the outside box, I knew I had been had. This thing is barely bigger than a counter top coffee grinder. The box it comes in only measures 10 inches high. I'm tired of carrying around a ruler to see how big a cheap piece of Amazon crap from China measures. When looking at Amazon reviews, a lot of popcorn machines get low reviews. This one had rave reviews of 4.6. It was also 45.00 bucks. My rationale is you get what you paid for. Well above the price of the other machines. Not these days. Just for poop and giggles, I took it out of the box and set it on the counter. It has a clear plastic chute that sits on top of the actual "Popcorn machine". ( There isn't even a brand name on it.). It's so flimsy it doesn't even sit on the top in the slot. If you look at it, the chute will fall off. The base itself is extremely flimsy plastic. I'm not one for filling the landfills either. I grew up in the 60's and 70's. When the air poppers came out in the 70's they had sturdy bases and would last for years. The cord is extremely cheap also. I can see it either being a hazard or not lasting long at all. The best part is reading the instruction book. The English is so broken, you can hardly understand it. They say don't add more than one teaspoon at a time. Wait 10 minutes before adding another. ( I think they're referring to the clear plastic measuring lid on top.) Good luck trying to understand any of it. They even warn against popping another batch until after 10 minutes. What I don't understand is why doesn't any merchandizer from Amazon check these products out before advertising them. This isn't even worth five bucks. Most of the other 1 star reviews complain of the thing not working after a few uses. The reviews on this one have definitely have been rigged by the company out of China. I'm re thinking many of my purchases on Amazon as they are more and more like something offered at Temu. All I want is a good sturdy popcorn popper. I'm tired of having to research every single piece of crap from Amazon and then having to waste more time reviewing this crap to let others know what they are buying. Back it goes! Buyer beware.

Great…until it’s not…
We purchased this popcorn popper in October it’s now December and it hardly works. At first it worked great, popped 90% of the kernels…now here we are in December and it’s popping about 50%. It has had moderate use maybe 2-3 times per week. Not worth it to me. I would rather pay more for a quality product.

Its okay
I bought one of these that failed after a few months. I thought maybe i was at fault as i might have put too much popcorn in it...so i bought another. Sure enough, you have to be careful not to fill the "lid scoop" full or this thing will shut down. This time...it shut down, but it recovered. Does what it is supposed to....just be very careful about how much you put into it. At least the first one i bought wasn't very resilient.

Affordable and great quality!
I remember having a hot air popcorn machine growing up, but I hadn't realized how much I missed it until my husband purchased it for my birthday. It's easy to load with a simple switch to turn on and off, and this one doesn't wildly shoot kernels out prematurely that I have to hot potato throw back into the popper. For anyone who hasn't owned a popcorn popper before, I would recommend keeping the clear plastic top on the popper after you've finished making the popcorn until the whole machine is cooled off. If you remove the top prematurely, it can warp and slightly shrink the plastic, making it more difficult to fit back into the grooves when you need your next snack. I was very impressed with the quality for the price and am a happy customer here :)
