great product
These Puracy dishwasher pods have been a great addition to my kitchen routine. The pods dissolve easily and leave dishes clean, spot free, and without a greasy film, which has made a noticeable difference compared with some other detergents I’ve used. I also like that they’re natural and free and clear, so there’s no strong scent or harsh chemicals that linger on dishes or glassware. They felt gentle on everything I washed while still being tough on stuck-on food, and I didn’t notice any residue on plates or utensils after multiple cycles. The pods themselves are easy to pop in when I start a load, and they don’t stick together in the container. For the price this 18-count pack offers good value — you’re getting reliable cleaning power in a product that feels safer for everyday use and works well without fuss. Overall I’m pleased with these dishwasher pods and would buy them again.

Dishes are Clean!
I love this! I placed it on autofill. I think I heard about this from TikTok or something? I was looking for something that did not have harsh chemicals in it. It is free & clear and my dishes look fantastic after using. I was using another fairly good dish soap but was not thrilled with having to unwrap it from plastic each time I used it. It is the little things. The plastic would go to the waste bin and into landfills and it was just awkward. This one you can just place into the little nook for the soap, close it and call it a day. No watermarks, no scent, no plastic to unwrap and there is absolutely no taste on the dishes once clean. And they do come out clean! The ingredients are plant-based. I was looking for dish wash soap that was clean with little to no chemicals and this fits the bill. I have no complaints and highly recommend!

Natural & ACTUALLY WORKS!
I make my own dishwashing detergent - which works great - but when I need sparkling dishes - especially with a heavy load - these are my GO TO! I am soo happy I found natural ones that actually work! Puracy stain remover is also a staple in our house and works miracles - great products!

The BEST fragrance-free option!
UPDATE (Jan. 2025): Still my favorite brand, hands down. No strange perfume residue on my dishes and they just work. I do use two on a heavy cycle for really dirty or baked-on loads, but using one on the normal cycle is fine for most loads. [Note: I recently tried a cheaper brand when these weren’t available. Ugh! I was horrified by how useless they were. Seriously. I thought something was wrong with my machine! I ran one regular load through three increasingly heavy cycles, rearranging the dishes and using two pods with the final heaviest cycle. I never did manage to get that load clean — until i ran a normal cycle with my one last Puracy pod. Phew! Haha] Also, I’ve begun using these at a home where the water is much, much harder than my previous place (more minerals, more alkalinity) and they still perform fantastically. Woohoo! As before, my biggest gripe with this product is the plastic pouch. Why? Completely unnecessary. Even my liquid laundry pods come in cardboard. It’s never been a problem. PLEASE, PURACY! Just switch to cardboard cartons or aluminum canisters. (HINT: When forced to make do with another brand, the 7thGen pods are the only others I’ve found to be similarly effective.) ======= ORIGINAL REVIEW: Works very well compared with any other fragrance-free brand I’ve tried so far (several). No noticeable residue on dishes, no etching of glasses and silverware, and usually gets everything clean. Not cheap, but not the most expensive. I really wish it came in a larger, more economical size. Also, it would be so great if it was packaged in paper or cardboard or an aluminum tin—something without any plastic. It’s not a liquid, so other than keeping the pods dry, the plastic bag is not strictly necessary. The company should experiment with other options. Anyway. It is a good product.. The pod dosage is just right in that it allows for some flexibility. For lightly soiled loads and/or when the machine is full but only just, I use one pod. When the dishwasher is really jam-packed and/or the dishes are extra dirty, I’ve found it’s best to use two pods. That’s perfect in my book, much like deciding whether to pour regular detergent into just one of the dispenser cups or both. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ For the record, the water in my current place is neither soft nor particularly hard. You may get better or worse results if your water is dramatically different.

Does not work. Will not purchase again. (EDIT: My dishwasher was the broken one)
UPDATE: A few days after my review, our dishwasher broke completely. We found out that our old dishwasher was not working properly due to being so old and faulty parts that were not actually washing the dishes at all. We got a new dishwasher and the pods now work great, everything comes out clean. It was our dishwasher's issue - NOT the pods. Will purchase again, you probably need a rinse aid though if you have hard water. Did not clean well at all. I followed the instructions about not really rinsing the dishes before putting it in the dishwasher and the dishes came out of the dishwasher with so much food left I had to clean it by hand. The next time I used it I actually tried to rinse the dishes beforehand just to see if it would work better that there's less stuff on the plate and it really does not clean well. The dishes were dirty there were so many food particles left there were grease all over the plates and bowls the glasses seemed dirty not just there's drying stains or anything on that but it doesn't seem like the glasses were cleaned. I've been trying to find a non-toxic version for my dishwasher I used to use those conventional chemical ones and those kept the dishes clean this one really does not work does not compare so I'm going to try to a different non-toxic one.

Lots of foam and leaks!
We have used the Puracy pods for a while now without issue. The last couple bags are a different story. Our dishwasher started getting a white chalky film on the interior walls. We then noticed our dishwasher was leaking. Not a lot, but still leaking on a relatively new KitchenAid. I thought I narrowed down the leak and applied some silicone. That seemed to do the trick. Then we noticed the leak again, and it was foamy. I thought maybe the garbage disposal was stopped up. Cleaned everything up, ran the disposal and a rinse cycle. All seemed good again. While watching TV late one night, my dishwasher started beeping over and over again. I went to investigate, and there was water everywhere. When I opened the dishwasher, there was foam halfway up the plates. I thought my just out of warranty KitchenAid dishwasher was the culprit. I watched tons of YouTube videos to troubleshoot clearing the code. I finally figured out the float mechanism under the dishwasher, and I started thinking; the dishwasher did it's job by alerting me and stopping my kitchen from being completely flooded. Then I came to Amazon to check the one star reviews. These pods absolutely caused this problem and hours of frustration, not to mention dealing with my wife that just knew all of this was caused by me installing the dishwasher and not hirng a plumber. Well, we had another eco-friendly brand left over, so I started using that one. Within a week, the chalky residue on the interior walls was gone. No more leaks or problems of any kind.

No residue on dishes
By far my favorite dishwasher pod. I love that theyre a more "natural" option and get my dishes clean without leaving a weird film on them.
