Jason was great! You wont regret it!
Hi there. I just spoke to a oerson by the name of Jason and he was extremely helpful. He is the definition of true great customer service. Long story short I had this item for iver 5 years and eventually with normal wear and tear one if the items on the multi tool didnt work. I reached out to him and he made things right! I will forever remember this kind gesture and gives me confidence in continuing buying more Rovertac products. Thank you again Jason!

On the heavier side... decent tool
So it's a solid item, every attachment appears to work. I would say the size, weight, and bulk are all on the larger and heavier side. It comes with a sturdy belt case and it's really meant to be put inside there and then be carried around outside your body on the belt case. So on portability I'd say it's fine if you want to do that when hiking or camping or something in a workshop, but it may not be comfortably sized to just travel around with for everybody. However, I probably should have investigated the size better before I bought it so I won't fault them.

A little thicker than most pocket knives, requires a pouch, but very handy!
I used to carry three main tools for helping me do minor maintenance on the machines I work with...a knife, a pair of needlenose pliers and a multi-screwdriver. The company began to frown on the size of pack I was using (that I carried those items as well as a bunch of other things in) so I had to downsize. That being said, I began my search for a decent multi-tool. This one caught my eye, and for the price, it seemed to have everything I needed. It took a little while before I was able to try out the parts I bought it for. The socket set that comes with it is neat, but the Phillips head screwdriver portion works fine for me with the need for the sockets so far. I really like that both the knife and the screwdriver sides have locking mechanisms. The straight edge of the knife comes very sharp, so be careful. The pliers aren't as needle-nosy as my older ones, so that part didn't quite work as I desired, but they do work. I tried the wire cutters on it, but that part failed miserably. That may very well just be because the thickness or the material of the "wire" I was trying to cut was just too much for the cutters. (It wasn't so much a wire as part of a metal spring. The cutters hardly made a mark in that metal, so it wasn't really a fair test.) I do wish the knife had a clip, or that the pouch had a snap on the strap as I don't want to have to thread my belt through the loop whenever I want to carry the pouch or take it off. But other than that, I'm loving this little tool. I'm in complete agreement with the number of good reviews this little gadget has earned. It is a little thicker than your standard pocket knife, so the pouch comes in handy, but I am carrying it around without any issues in another pouch that I bought here on Amazon...see my other reviews. I haven't had to go back to my original tools, so those are now in use at home while I keep this little gem with me at work.

Simply Excellent
I'm VERRRRY OLD now, and over the last decades, I've purchased and used a number of these types of combination knives/multi tools. Of all of them, I like THIS one the best and here's why: 1. Very well made, i.e. its actually strong enough to use. 2. Excellent choice of tools, i.e., it has accessories that you will ACTUALLY use on a regular basis. 3. The Knife blade is strong, sharpened from the get go, and appears to be quality carbon steel. 4. The size, feel, and design of the Pliers is simply elegant, AND, unlike some tools costing upwards of 130.00 U.S. , they do NOT pinch or cut your palm when you try to use em. Comfortable as hell and precision made to boot. 5. The included 'bits' are selections that again, you might actually NEED :) 6. The Color:) I say that because sooooo often you pull out a tool like this under less than ideal conditions. It might be getting dark, poor lighting, you're in a hurry etc. etc. etc. If a tool is totally dark, i.e., black, you can lose sight of it in a shadow and forget where you put it. This 'golden' color makes sure your eyes pickit up and notice it, so you'll think to retrieve it :) Wonderful tool, wonderful price with a strong belt loop type case that holds everything securely , but without being a PITA to carry.

Multi-tool knife
Very useful tool for the handyman or outdoor adventurer. A bit heavy and don't want to carry it around all day.

Great multi tool
Large blade, very sharp, lots of tools. So far very strong and durable. Works great as a multi tool. Best to wear on belt. A little bulky to keep in pocket. Would definitely buy another. Wish they made something like this in the U.S. I love the large blade.

Didn't run into any of the problems people have talked about. The knife was razor sharp. I could shave the hairs off my arm with ease. The pliers were also really strong. I cut different gauge wires and it handled them all without any issues. I love how the pliers and the knife snap in and out. It's really smooth and to me that's more important than having loads of useless tools crammed in one. It's quite heavily and bulky though considering there aren't many tools in it. Even though my Leatherman is better quality, more durable and has more tools, I honestly throw it in my trunk and won't touch it anymore. It's too stiff and difficult to access all the tools. It's so stiff and crammed full of tools, I'm scared I'm going to sever my fingers when I pull the knives out. This is a perfect example of how important smooth and easy operation is. If your tools are stiff and difficult to access, you're not going to want to use it, no matter how much better the quality is. I'm going to use this cheapy Rovertac multitool as my primary EDC now. FYI this is made under several different brands. You can find better deals sometimes with different or no branding for the same product.
