I’ve been welding for a while, and this welding lens is easily one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my gear. The clarity is outstanding, both in light and dark states. It makes a huge difference when trying to see fine details. The lens also has great color clarity, everything looks sharp and natural. This has improved both my accuracy and comfort, especially during long welding sessions. It fits perfectly in my hood, stays secure, and doesn’t fog up or get scratched easily. Daniel also made an amazing job on checking with me and making sure everything was perfect Overall, this is a high-quality lens that’s absolutely worth it if you want better visibility, faster reaction time, and reliable eye protection. I am extremely pleased with my purchase of the Ridge Products Automatic Welding Lens. I love how quickly and smoothly it darkens automatically when I hit the arc. Also, the viewing lens is extremely clear and allows me to see what I am doing very easily so I can weld accurately. It's comfortable to wear and helps prevent eyestrain. The lens feels very sturdy and well constructed. Using this lens has improved my accuracy and made me feel more confident while welding. I would recommend this to anyone in need of a quality, dependable automatic welding lens. Ridge Products did a great job.

I have had several auto lenses over the years. The Heir is by far the best lens I have ever owned by far. The clarity is absolutely amazing. I have used it in three different processes and several different amp ranges with zero issues. The color and brightness is superb. Thickness is perfect for both my pipeliner and pancake with room for a cheater if needed. The package is awesome and also makes for a good storage case for replacement clear lens. I would highly recommend to anyone to get one of these lenses from Ridge products. Several of my welders are already ordering.

Good, clear view through these. They are a bit thin and it is redundant having two sticky plastic covers on each side as well as the paper envelope they come in.

Crystal-clear optics with zero distortion, instant auto-darkening, and a shade that stays consistent even in tight, high-amp work. The clarity in both light and dark states is outstanding—you can actually see your puddle, toes, and tie-ins without fighting glare or haze. What really sets it apart is eye comfort. Long days under the hood are noticeably easier; no eye fatigue, no headaches, and no lag when striking an arc. The color balance is spot-on, giving great contrast without washing everything out. Whether you’re burning rods, running wire, or doing precision TIG, it keeps up without missing a beat. Built tough, fits clean, and performs like a premium lens without the gimmicks. If you weld for a living and care about seeing your work clearly and protecting your eyes, the Duke lens is a no-brainer. I’d buy it again tomorrow. 10/10, highly recommended.

Old review with 2 stars: “Rechargeable batteries” went out 3 months after use while I was putting in a root in a full penetration weld that gets tested. I use the lens often enough for it to hold a charge. Sensors aren’t good enough, I have flashed myself several times while finishing a vertical weld inside a beam. When sensors are not going off the lens is very dark and hard to see out of compared to other lens. The color is very, very blue which isn’t very pleasant to be looking at all day. I’d prefer a less intense blue and more of an HD clear/gold color or at least a lease intense blue. Overall pretty disappointing, I bought ON SALE for $79.99, it is now $59.99 and on sale for $49.99. Kind of a rip off if you ask me. Might as well spend the extra money on a quality lens you know won’t die out in a few months or flash you so often. This lense will technically get the job done but wouldn’t recommend someone who welds full time. Updated review with 1 star after customer service reached out: I applaud the customer service here but you simply can’t polish a turd. They offered me a full refund and offered to send me 2 different lenses to try out. I was impressed with that and loved the opportunity to give them another shot. I was sent the heir lens and another prince lens when I was told they’d send me a different lens. Oh well. Still having issues of being arc flashed mid weld in tight spots. This has happened to me several times while putting on roots in tested full penetration welds. This affect my productivity at the shop I work at and is very frustrating when I have to grind something because I nearly go blind. If you are working on a flat surface with no tight spots, sure get this lens. But if you work in an environment that demands high quality work, this lens is simply a safety hazard. I threw them in the trash, my vision is more important than this junk. Do not buy this lens. As for ridge: install more sensors. Problem solved.

Works super fast, super reliable, been using it for a few weeks and love it. Haven't had an issue with it but it does seem a bit brighter than a fixed shade so I had to turn it up one more than usual. Looks super good with my hood too!

I enjoy the color of the weld and how sensitive it can be, and the darkness is prefect is you’re tryna prevent messing up your eyes. Super easy to install and it came with clear Lens which is a nice addition. The view when it’s off is nice so you don’t have to be flipping up and down your hood constantly. Haven’t had any issue with it turning off in a middle of a weld or anything.
