Wright's Coal Tar Soap 4 pack

Best face wash ever I have been fighting acne for a very long time this has transformed my skin It takes abit for the skin to adjust to this type of cleanser but stick with it It leaves my skin clean, moist & almost conditioned.

I don’t know what it is about this soap. It has a pungent, strong, smell—but I love it. It evokes a nostalgia from a time that was not mine. I imagine an angry grandma washing children who mischievously went to play in the pig pin when they were told not to. Other than that: it just works. I have sensitive skin, and my arms have some of that “chicken skin” thing going on; it has never been as clear as when using this soap. Now, the fact it did that for me, might not mean the same for you. The bar is quite hard and long lasting. It does not feel like other bars that stay soft and wastes away after 4 uses. It ladders you really well with my water in southwest Georgia. You might hate it, you might love it—it is one of those.

I don't know if it helped my very bad psoriasis but it didn't hurt it either. It has a clean refreshing odor, doesn't dry out your skin and lasts forever. What more can you want in a simple bar of soap?

I used Wright's Coal Tar Soap on a trip to the UK a couple of years ago. I loved it. The smell is different, but not off-putting. I was thrilled to find it on Amazon. When you get out of the shower, you feel clean and crisp. It's an oddball thing, but you should try it. It's one of those little things in life you find that make normal days feel special.

So this is is a really decent soap , it has its role in Handwashing and Bath/Shower, it’s got Tea Tree oil in the ingredients, I think enough to kill germs even , it’s a medicinal Strong 💪 👃 smelling soap and I will keep a steady supply of it because I miss it when it’s not there , like I said , it has its certain roles , gets rid of body odors , skin scrofula, works well on acne. Came with 6 or 8 soap bars for me , when I ordered , bright gold yellow soap bars that pack a punch , I wish they made them a bigger size like 5 or 6 oz each, I believe they’re 4, keep dry between uses , pretty hard soap , doesn’t melt fast , but to me it’s a special, medicinal soap to be well taken care of and used well. I do not mind the smell at all but it’s strong and can be smelt all over the house

It did the job I bought it for. My daughter’s skin is much better.

In the past I have had good results from using coal tar soap for my skin. I was hoping that Wright's "Traditional" soap would be similar to what I used before. It certainly smells similar - has that powerful coal-tar odor - but the active ingredient is said to be tea tree oil, and not coal tar. Evidently, the coal tar is used for the scent. Had I wanted tea tree oil, I'd have chosen another product. Although I don't mind the odor of coal tar, it is powerful and many people find it unpleasant. That would be acceptable if I were getting the full benefit of the coal tar, but from what I can tell, I am not.

I LOVE this soap. Reminds me of when I was a kid visiting my grandma and grandad. Shops quickly too!

My mum introduced me to Wright’s Soap years ago, and it’s been my favourite ever since. It has such a lovely, distinctive smell and leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh. For the price, it’s fantastic value — good quality without spending a lot. A real classic that never disappoints!
