Brought them camping and cooked a variety of things in them. They come pre-seasoned but I scrubbed em clean & reseasoned em anyway. Pros: These seem very well built. The cast iron part had no defects and the poles feel substantial and well made. The poles come unscrew off and come in two pieces so you can choose your length. This also makes it easy to store. I used them at full length over a campfire in a large firepit. The shorter length seems like it would be ideal over a small fire, a stove or a grill. The fact that the pole unscrews from the pie iron makes cleanup easier too. The pie iron halves separate easily when using. Cons: My only con is probably a personal preference thing but it has grill ridges on the inside. I guess people like those grillmarks, but these pie irons are small, Wonderbread-sized. It makes it a little bit of a pain to clean. I like my camp kitchen supplies to be as easy to clean as I can manage since cleaning up while camping is not as easy as at home. Would I recommend these? Yes! Its great for solo camping and makes cooking a little more fun. I made burgers, ham & swiss pudgie pies with crescent dough and chocolate chip cookies in mine and this thing performed beautifully and stored away compactly. I may buy more since I only bought one.

We love this pudgie pie maker!! We love it so much we bought another. It is solid and small enough to pack away for camping. It works perfectly for a variety of meals. Food really doesn’t stick very much at all for us. It is easy and simple to use.

Gave this as part of a gift to a camping family along with other related things. The family really likes it! Quality seemed good without actually using it since it was a gift for someone. I had one years ago and used it for many years, it was fun and if you use your imagination the possibilities are endless! This one appeared to be of equal quality to what I once owned. Can only give it 4 stars since I personally have not used it.

So far so good , but after first use they had surface rust overnight. I have since coated them with cooking oil , threaded hands work loose .

It looked good for what it waslike outdoor camping use but i wanted it for home and looked dangerous for to use ii on daily basis but definitely a good buy for camping

Our iron rods were bent and tarnished when we took them out of the box.

Like many people I started with an inexpensive Coghlan's pie iron. This is much better quality. The two halves fit together well so there is a better seal and less oil leaking out. The whole thing is built sturdier. I really like the two part handles and keep mine short so I can easily stow it and use it on my camp stove or over the fire.

Gave these to my camping loving son and his girlfriend for Christmas. They report that they are fun to use and create different meals with. Now I'm getting some for myself!
