I have a Traeger Pro 575 and use it probably 2-3x a week. In Florida I can smoke year round without issues but in Colorado I noticed my Traeger performance is bad around 20-40 degreees F (-6.6 to 4.4 C). Below that it doesn’t really work at all without an insulation blanket. I tried to cook on many cold Colorado nights where either I waited an hour for the Traeger to get to 300-350 (when set at 500), or when it couldn’t even get to 300 and I had to fire up a propane grill instead. The ridiculous cost for the OEM insulator led me to Amazon and I will say this cheaper Chinese internet purchase is high quality, fits perfectly, and has made ,y winter cooking much better.Any pellet grill with burn through pellets much faster in cold weather so even if you don’t have any performance issues it’s worth it to buy an insulating blanket to reduce pellet usage. It’s ugly and I don’t put it on unless it’s under 40 F consistently but am happy with it overall.

Keeps the grill hot at low outside temps with definite saving of pellets. The magnetic side panels work great, just need to remove the left side panel when opening the hopper to add more pellets. Heavy duty quality, though it does take a little space away from the front folding shelf.

I like that it has magnets to fasten it to the grill, and it seems like it will provide some better insulation in cold weather than none, but the magnets come free if you open the grill and have to be pressed back into place every time, and there’s no insulation whatsoever on the sides, which I could feel heat radiating out from. If the back stayed put I’d give it 5 stars for its custom fit and being better than no insulation.

perfect for cold weather. without it the Traeger has a hard time keeping temperature and everything takes longer. this blanket did the trick. Fit pretty well (we have an older Traeger), stays on with heavy duty magnets and lasts (so far). recommended if you deal with cold or windy weather

great item.fit my treager pro 34 perfectly. went front using a full hopper of pellets on a 14 hour smoke to about half a hopper.money saver right here burn less pellets.

If you're considering this for your Traeger 885 (as the description says it fits) don't bother. The opening for the grill handle is not wide enough to fit around it. The cover is non-returnable, so don't think to try it with the idea you'll just send it back if it doesn't work.That said, it IS a nice cover and seems to be well and solidly made. If this fits your grill, then by all means buy it. I would have given it 5 stars if it had fit my grill as stated in the description

Just received it today. As thick and heavy as it is , I think it will hold heat better and lower the amount of pellets used to cook. I would recommend it.
