Was very impressed with this chess-board! PROS: - Excellent, consistent build quality. Looks expensive! - The magnets in the base of each piece and in the centre of each tile are subtle, but very effective at keeping pieces in place if you want to take a break from playing or you were for example playing in the car or on a plane). - Each player has a drawer in the board on their size where there are pre moulded places for each piece, keeps things organised! - Each player has 2 x queen pieces (for when your pawn reaches the end of the board) CONS: - Although the build quality is good, the wood/materials feel very light and almost untreated. For children or active households would imagine breakages would be relatively easy. Feels like it could do with being a bit denser and some kind of varnish or sealant to finish it off!

Good quality and great size. Magnet element works fine. The drawers are a great idea to store all pieces. A gift for my adult son and im sure he will love it. Arrived promptly and well packaged. Would recommend.

What a lovely chess board. Beautiful detail, colour and just the right size for a kid learning how to play. I'm not a huge fan of the folding boards (although I do appreciate the merits of smaller size, storage, portability etc), this one was an easy choice. The quality is definately there, and the pieces are well made with just the right magnetism for the board. Love having integrated storage drawers, very handy. It is a bit more expensive than the folding types but I believe the quality makes up for this.

This is an excellent product. Very well made and looks perfect. Have the pieces permanently on the board, the storage base below help make it a display item in its own right. Comes very well packaged. Definitely recommend.

Amazing Christmas present for my son, he had not long started to learn chess but is flying now. Really well made and all the chess pieces are magnetic so they don't slide off. The draw they come in as well is fantastic. Really recommend this for anyone who plays chess. He's been teaching others how to play as well.

This is a really nice chess set. The drawers have cutout foam that holds each piece and the magnetic feature is great! My son is 8 and the magnet eliminates a lot of frustration. The size is perfect and we are currently displaying the board in our living room when it isn’t being used. It isn’t heavy at all and seems pretty durable. We have dropped a few pieces already and they held up well. Overall, this is a great find for the price. The only complaint we have is that the checker pieces aren’t magnetic.
