IS there any point in buying this when you have a snow suit? I was thinking the snow suit is too warm on simply rainy but not too cold days.

I would say this is lighter than a snow suit, warmer than a puddle suit. I've bought these for the last 4 years for my twins and they've been brilliant throughout the winter time, and cold summer days on the beach too. Just add extra layers of clothes underneath if it's snowing. Hope this helps.
